freelance reporter based in Orlando...has some kind of inside connection to Dwight Howard's camp...he said that Howard was going to leave LA and sign with Houston way before anyone and broke the story first when it actually happened...

I like Clarkson, can really score in a variety of ways from the PG position, but is a terrible defender...basically he's the exact opposite of EP. Would give EP a run for his money if acquired, especially if EP's shot doesn't improve early on next year.
He's restricted and there are very few decent point guards available this summer, so he's going to be over paid by someone. I think he'll get offer sheets in the $11-14m range.

Elfrid is showing promise on that shot though, didn't he shoot like 38% from the 3 albeit on a small sample. That should mean he is making some headway right?

Harkless shot 38% from 3 once. Then his percentages dropped down to his usual levels the following season. Payton needs to stay in that ballpark next season for him to show this year was not an anomaly.

He shot 32.6% from 3 on 92 shots. Also shot 58.9% on free throws, which is probably an even more glaring problem.

Sounds like Charlotte is committed to Batum and will max him out to keep him there.

oooph...that's rough, I have high hopes for EP, but those numbers are just not sustainable for a starting point guard...at least not on a winning team

Yea, they've been saying that for a while. He has said he wants to return but that money is a factor and who they bring back or add is also key.

It's gonna be really slim pickings when it comes to free agency. A number of people here need to adjust their expectations for Orlando's free agency or they are going to be very disappointed.

Ok thanks for the advice...I'll just go wallow in negativity now so that later on it will just be normal

you know, i thought about Lin. But he doesnt bring what we miss or need. He isnt a good 3 pt shooter, he does get to the line decently, but also isnt a big assist guy. If we are bringing in a more experience PG, i would want someone that can teach/mentor Elf. Not sure what Lin could do for Elf's game. there are a lot worse choices though for PG.

I don't know about Lin. His game is a little too similar to Oladipo's. I think a better target would be Jeff Teague. The Hawks have made it no secret they've been shopping him and that they want to hand the reins to the German kid.

Schroder was awesome last night. Hawks just can't close out those close games.

Millsap/Horford/Korver/Teague going a combined 12-43 wont win it for them.
and Atlanta sports people up here are roasting Coach Bud for playing Korver 37 minutes.

Horford once again had a terrible post season. I really hope we aren't suckered into bringing him here.

This isn't directed just at you Skin, but everybody here is just so picky when it comes to the top free agents. None of them are perfect but we should be glad if we land any major free agent.

Re: Orlando Magic Free Agency Guide (Cap Info UPDATED page 37)
We need a legit superstar though Ned, I really feel like that's the only way to win a championship, and that's every organizations end goal. JUST adding Horford won't buy us more than a first round exit.
We need either,
A) Legit superstar from FA or via trade
or
B) Hope one of our young guys becomes a superstar (years away)
Having a team built like the Hawks is good and all (no superstar), but I don't think they are winning any championship's with that squad. Trying to compete for a championship in this day and age in the NBA without a superstar talent just isn't possible, in my opinion.

i dont think its picky to look at a FA at 30, wanting a max deal, who annually has a major decline across the board in his performance over the past 5-6 years in the post season. Thats a red flag for me
