Its about time we get the lottery luck though

I was just thinking the same thing. Those are the guys I'm zeroing in on. Throw Miles Bridges into that mix tho. God forbid but if we're picking in the 7-10 range Bridges would be a worthy choice. I'm intrigued by Ntlikina and Foxx. Markannen is a hell of a player but a terrible fit for this team. Patton and Williams are dark horses.

Ideally we end up in the 5-8 range. One of Isaac/Tatum/DSJ fall into our laps. We move one of our 2nd round picks + the raps/clips pick and move up into the 16-18 range where we can snag a damn good big man. I'm high on Patton and Rabb. Also a fan of Bam and Jerrett Allen. John Collin is a fckn baller. Harry Giles would be worth the gamble. If we walk away with a combo of DSJ and Giles i might faint. The cherry on top would landing Motley or Swannigan in the 2nd

DSJ/Payton/Augustine
Ross/Fournier/Wilcox
Gallo/Hezonja/FA
Gordon/Motley/FA
Biyombo/Vuc/Giles

I really think Vogel playing Green and CJ, whether it's intentional or not will keep us at the 4th spot at least. That's why I find it odd, that there's poster in here who repeatedly complain that they're getting extended minutes.

He will need some work on the defensive end. He is actually a pretty good passer. He has good vision. I think he will be a solid and well-rounded offensive player in the NBA. I was down on him early in the year when i read scouting reports on him, but I've been fairly impressed when I have watched him play.

It tells you that the twin towers model is dead and ancient. Small ball teams will dominate you. That team can still win but they need a serious wing upgrade. Solomon Hill ? Hollis Thompson? They ares starting a d league guy and a guy that got CUT from the 76rs! AD and Cousins need to drop 30 each to stand a chance.

I wouldn't say that the "twin towers model" was ever en vogue. Sampsons' injury issues ruined whatever potential those Rockets teams had. It worked out just fine with Robinson and Duncan though, I guess. Still, it has never been anything more than an occasional anomaly. And I wouldn't say that this New Orleans team is proving anything with this iteration, as their roster is so bad outside of Cousins, Davis, and Holiday.

Yeah, it'll be surprising if we end up a better team than the Pelicans with 2 top 10 players. They are in the west though, so that skews it some. Either way, they probably don't get to keep the pick.

Off-topic but man, everyone killed the Kings for the Cousins trade but they might get a decent package out of it. They'll get NO's pick, which now looks like it'll be top 6, they already got their own pick, which if it stays in the top 10, they get to keep it (otherwise they send it to Chicago), and they have Hield, who looks a lot better on Sacramento than on New Orleans. The Kings could rebuild this thing pretty quickly, while the Pelicans are struggling mightily zagging while everyone else -- including us, finally -- is zigging with two big men. Hell, they might lose Cousins for nothing next summer.

Yeah. I think ensuring that their pick falls within the top ten picks was a major motivating force for them to get a deal done as soon as possible.

Phoenix is on a 3-game winning streak :o

Edit: to the current low-end standings.

10-51 Nets is a full 8 games worse than the 29th worst team; Boston will get a nice pick.
19-44 Lakers is not trying to win games. Now a full 2-games worse than Phoenix. Orlando has a ~50/50 to get a high second.
21-42 Suns is playing really well of late. Two game over the Magic but climbing.
23-40 Magic is playing to win games, but....
23-39 Sixers is also playing to win games (together the Suns, Magic, and Sixers look to fight out the climb to fifth worst).
25/26 - and: Knicks, Timberwolves, Kings, Mavericks, and Blazers is a real race from 6th to 10th. Huge shifts to the expected here.

..

Philly's coach and players might be trying to win games, but their management shut down Simmons and Embiid for the year.

That would literally be the perfect dream scenario. To get the first pick and to have the lakers fall out of top 3.

Easily, absolutely no debate unless its like a hall of fame trade down scenario.

The two biggest tank games of the year will be against philly and Sacramento. If we split I'll be happy
