Right now it feels we need to get a big lead to build a gap for the inevitable meltdown at the end but 11 pt lead was not enough against a high scoring team. But really what leads to the meltdowns is that we have no shooting, the floor shrinks and everyone or Franz or Paolo when they attempt to make a play they are running into 3 defenders which is leading to turnovers or just terrible desperation shots. We desperately need shooting for spacing.

I wont say anything about yet another disappointing loss, but I sill say this organization deserves a giant F U for giving up a home against a rival like this. The fans in Orlando were robbed of an important game so we can help the Hawks market themselves to people in Mexico City.

I don't think it's the losses. I think it's how we lose, and when the same issues keep happening over and over again. Plays that make no sense, line ups that make no sense, etc.

We can handle losing but we are just sick of these self-inflicted losses. If we're gonna lose, make the Hawks beat the Magic don't let the Magic beat the Magic.

Fultz is toast. Im pretty sure he is the only guard in the NBA that hasn't made a 3. And he looks labored just trying to get off a free throw.

This is a coaching loss for me, or rather a lack of coaching. They were just doing whatever at the end there. .500 team, trending in last year's direction.

They just don't fit together, at the end if games if Fultz doesnt have the ball, teams will leave him wide open and play free safety

Fultz wouldn’t fit on any teams if he will not shoot a three .
He is going to have to go to the bench or china
It's really frustrating watching him pass on an open shot and then missing a contested 2.

No offense to you because I know everyone's frustrated after a loss, but I just hate stuff like this.

The first possession you referenced... Paolo gets an off ball screen and gets the switch on Capela.

Johnson (Isaac's man) and Trae (Suggs' man) both collapse down on Paolo at the elbow. He kicks left to Isaac instead of right to Suggs, and JI bricks a wide open 3.

Are we blaming Mosley because the action they set up created TWO wide open shooters and Paolo just passed to the wrong one?

Next time down Fultz and Paolo run a quick dribble hand off and Paolo just plows right into Johnson for a charge with 20 seconds left on the shot clock. Johnson was in great position and Paolo could have easily turned it into a post up or even reset.

Next time down Franz isos on Capela after a switch and blows by him for a score.

Final possession they go back to the same Franz iso on Capela action. Franz drives, draws help and kicks out to Paolo for a wide friggin open 3PT and he just bricked.

Like in the final 4 possessions they got: WIDE OPEN 3PT, CHARGE, LAYUP, WIDE OPEN 3PT.

Not sure what else y'all want? The action worked. The guys just missed.

I wish Dante could call play action like this.

People keep dumping on Paolo but Franz has not played well in a while. And you won’t win many games if your second best player is not there to help.

Wasn’t going to say the quiet part out loud but… Fultz.

What is he doing on offense if we are expecting a 3 and the action is getting Paolo the ball?

Why is it that we have Isaac taking heavily contested shots in crunch time over literally any other option than Fultz?

Paolo isn’t reliable enough from 3 yet to just put the game on the line open or not.

And back to what can be found in a zillion other threads.. why is Paolo’s first option running into dudes trying to pick up fouls on the charge? No play is run. There’s no point guard running **** with him.

Unfortunately that's about all coaches can do nowadays due to these entitled (for lack of better term) players.

True, but being a babysitter and being able to draw up a damn play aren't mutually exclusive.

Pretty much, same thing happened in the Dallas game which is how we lost the lead then.

We need more shooting, it's really that simple

Mose had the Magic with the highest out of timeout % in the league as of 2 games ago. Missing shots ≠ bad plays.

Offensive personnel leaves a lot to be desired.

Next year, the best player drafted will probably be in the teens like the Giannis and Kawhi drafts.

But who was shooting it? JI and Paolo?

Which last shot did Hawks take? Murray, right?

You have to put the ball in the right shooter if you want to make the winning shot. We didn't. I'd rather put the ball in Fultz hand in last seconds to let him create. He is much more efficient
