I predicted that a trade would happen in Part 14 a long time ago (only cause 14 is my lucky number...not related to Jameer I promise). But I'm ready to wake up to trade news. Both Phoenix and Golden State play tomorrow. So does New Orleans. Hopefully the Monta Ellis rumor picks up steam.

Yup! In such a depressing, confusing year, this is one of the first positive rumors that's becoming widespread. I still think it's unlikely to happen but I've been on the Monta Ellis bandwagon for years now. #ItsMontaTime and tonight proved that

ESPN sources saying that Boston is aggressively trying to trade Rondo. I just caught it on Sportscenter. They say Rondo's personality doesn't mesh well with what they're trying to do.

Boston, New Orleans, Houston.. any of those teams can be good 3rd or 4th trading partners in the quest to get Ellis.

God bless the Trade Machine.

Btw I swear I read somewhere a couple nights ago that Boston was looking to acquire Curry by using Rondo and would be willing to take on one of GS's bad contracts (Biedrins?)

Anyway, for all those that don't want to get rid of Ryan in order to get Ellis...

Check this out (not bad huh?):

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=89pb85x

PG- Ellis/Nelson/Ish/Dooling*/Duhon
SG- Wafer(or Ellis*)/Liggins/Dooling*
SF- Hedo/Q-Rich/Clark*
PF- Anderson/Davis/Harper
C- Howard/Clark*/Orton

Btw you could even replace Redick or J-Rich with someone else like BBD or throw in someone like Orton & Harper to send to New Orleans.

I'm sure we have some creative folks on here that can figure out a 3 or 4 team trade with Orlando, Golden State, and (Boston, New Orleans, Houston).

Doesn't look too bad. I don't know if that is enough value going back to New Orleans though, perhaps some picks? Would the salaries be thrown if we included Jameer instead of J-Rich or Redick? 8-)

EDIT: Only just saw your edit. Yeah maybe they could be coerced into taking BBD back. I think including Jameer would at least get rid of the problem of getting SVG to play Monta at PG over him....

Both suggestions should work :)

I don't get why everybody flips out when Otis says "I like this team". What else do you want him to say?
You want him to be like Dwight and indirectly throw his players under the bus.
It's not like he hasn't made changes in the past. He said he liked the team with Vince Carter, but yet he still made major changes to the team.

I'm sure a lot GMs utter the words "I like this team" when in an interview.

There are very few indicators that this team is a legit contender this year. I can understand liking the team when we are going to the finals or ECF, but after getting knocked out by the Hawks and struggling to put up middling point differential halfway through the season? No, you don't "like that team" anymore, and double so when your center piece is asking for a trade because he certainly doesn't like this team.

Sweet, I like the look of it. Not too sure if Golden state, even with them interested in Rondo, would want to trade both Ellis and Curry.... dunno.

More importantly we aren't gutting our squad too much.

Thanks man

As for GS, hey they said they wanted a big (Kaman)... plus Rondo is a great PG (a triple double machine with great defense, and in my opinion he's better than Curry)... yeah they get rid of both Curry and Ellis... but they also have that Thompson guy on the bench who is really good at SG, and he needs to start for them soon imo... and a Kaman/Lee front-court could do some damage... also Kaman is a 14mil expiring (not too shaby for the offseason/FA 8-) )

prime candidate - Minnesota and Beasley.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=83k3xvy

Golden State get a defensive big who can share the C role with Lee. they get a SG with legit size who should compliment Curry well. they get a scoring stud in Beasley who can pick up where Ellis left off.

we get to keep Anderson, but have to live with a Monta/Nelson backcourt.

Dwight/Biedrins
Anderson/Clark
Hedo/Q
Monta/Von
Nelson/Duhon

Hey that's actually a pretty good trade :D ... and if Minny wanted a draft pick or some young extra/throw-in like Liggins (no offense to the Ligg-a-maniacs out there) would it throw off the salaries?
