you had other assets with which to possibly entice teams to take shard at next year's deadline. or you had tradable players to move so that even with lewis and howard's bird rights - you'd still have cap room for a max deal a-la miami for chris paul.

so imo - i think that's ^ what's changed now.

you had a very good team with an exit strategy to keep your superstar.
now, you may have a better team, but you have to wonder if it's good enough to win it all and have you lost that exit strategy - which i fear you have.

i think wade has shown that it doesn't matter if you had a bad team the previous year - if your team presents you with a bright future (much less your home team) - you will gladly resign and even give up money...

so i do think you took a huge huge risk today, and i think that this specific risk (of losing howard) is just not worth it and i wouldn't have made those moves.

doesn't mean i'll turn out right eventually, but it's how i see it -
keeping howard > all, and keeping howard will have a lot more to do with future prospect than past success if the roster isn't flexible to allow improvement.

We never had flexibility to add a max FA before Dwight's contract was over. So your logic is flawed.

you mean to tell me you couldn't clear the entire roster except for lewis and howard's bird rights for the 2012 summer if it came to it as a last resort ?

because i beg to differ.

hmmm im sure. could be nelson or it could be system or maybe the personel we had. we should probably point out everything.

Ok, so who's plugged the new lineup in to 2k10? What's the verdict, will we win a 'ship?

Made the trades in NBA Live 10 and this team is lethal, draining threes from all over the court. Jameer/Arenas backcourt is going to carve up a lot of defenses and JRich is going to get a lot of open shots.

He's on board with the moves. So no.

as lebron is with the trade for jamison ?

dwight's decision will be made this summer, or more likely the following summer.
the only relevant question is do these moves improve your position for those times ?
very questionable...

Did it on 2k11 earlier... murdered the Celtics simulated, 12 minute Qs, Hall of Fame mode... 114-95... but again, remember, it's just a video game

Btw... if any of you guys want to have fun with the line-up... do Blacktop mode, 5 v 5 (preferred player-position J-Rich or Arenas)... Arenas/J-Rich/Hedo/Bass/Howard vs Arroyo/Wade/Lebron/Bosh/Big Z ... a lot of alley-oops and randomness occurs lol, really fun, the game always goes to game-point tied

Well it's not he personnel. Carter and Lewis didn't prevent this team from pushing the ball. It's the PG who controls the tempo. It could be the system of Van Gundy too, but J-Will does push the pace a bit more.

And what's with the rolling eyes? You said you want to see the team run more. I agreed and said yeah, it would be better if Jameer pushed it a little bit more.

you know how when someone goes, "im not racist" but then follow it with a racist comment? that's what your comment felt like but anyway are you telling me you never seen jameer run a fast break ever??? if thats the case then hey maybe it is his fault or maybe he is just trying to get the team into their sets and run the plays that svg is giving them. who knows. all i know is i would love to see the team run more.

Gilbert says he`s ok with coming off bench.

It will most likely be
Nelson Arenas
Richardson JJ Arenas
Turkoglu Richardson QRichardson
Bass Turkoglu
Howard Allen

yup. something like that - although i don't see hedo at the 4 - you probably play anderson/allen, and you most defenetly will trade for a back up center duhon/j-will/orton/allen/clark - being the baits depending on the deal.

unfortunatly - very little out there for that bait.

absolutly nothing for duhon as i see it, but that's actually a good thing cause this team will make a mistake if they trade away the only defense-first guard on the roster.

Yeah i didnt know he was such a fan of the team, spent most of his time here and has family all around the state. Nice that he was already here at our practice facility around half time and practicing. He seems genuinely happy, and he said he's more than willing to come off the bench. Also he said he'd be wearing #1 for the people who dont want to watch the clip.

No I didn't say that he's never run a fastbreak. I don't know what you're talking about. I said he doesn't push the tempo.

And I don't really think this is something we need to argue about. You and I both know that a PG controls the tempo, and if you think we need to run more, then you agree with me that Jameer could push the pace a bit. That's it. Nothing is more is being said.
