Seeings one can still play basketball and the other can't... I'd go with Arenas

What does that mean?

From an Amway Center employee that listened in on a meeting that wasn't meant for the public..

"We will not let him walk away like Cleveland with Lebron. I think that's a bad pill to swallow...Have to reach an extension by deadline" -- Otis

:o

Sounds like a deadline is (almost) officially in place for DH to make his decision..

The owners screwed themselves with the cba because none of these players will sign an extension with any of their teams because it makes sense financially to re-sign for 5 year max deals no players are going to "extend" there deals

I agree, I don't even know why there are extensions any more. I just sort of assumed no one will sign one.

Employee listened in? don't know if i'm buying that....If it's true and word gets back to Dwight's camp it just adds to the notion that we're trying to run him out of town....
-Nick Anderson called him out
-BVW "Allegedly" drunk dialing him
-Otis giving deadlines
-Stan Questioning Dwight's leadership

great examples of how to not please your Superstar Front office edition....I really don't know where we're going from here but it has been interesting thus far

I agree because his next post pointed out Arenas shoots worse than Jennings.

Good signs for the Magic. Talks have stalled between NOR and GS and LAC. GS doesn't want to give up Curry and LAC doesn't want to give up Gordon. Neither can get a commitment from Paul that he'd sign an extension either.

NOR looks hosed even when they want to trade him. We may propel as their highest offer if things continue!

When is the deadline? He obviously can't expect Howard to sign an extensions right now.

Things cooling down with the Clips, Warriors and Celtics.....the Magic need to do whatever it takes. Kick it into overdrive to get Paul here, he will resign to stay with us and Dwight.

They're pushing the trade deadline to the beginning of March.

That is bogus. Otis might want a internal verbal aggreement but he won't get it on paper. Howard will opt out of his contract whether he is staying or not.

He gets more money if he doesn't opt out.

No he doesn't. If he signs an extension this season, he can only add two years at most onto his existing deal, so it can only run until 2015 at latest. If he opts out next summer, he can sign a 5 year contract for more money.

Yes but would LA trade them Bynum without an extension? Thats the question I want to have an answer to. We will beat NYCs offer, not sure about the lakers if NOH value Bynum
