At the same time here in Holland, my mom and dad are almost 70 years old, and they don't even have a date for a first vaccination yet (I think they're still working on people who are 70 and above for now, and of course health care workers and people in similar professions are vaccinated). My father is... not well, and has a hard time adhering to the measures against the virus. I'm very concerned about their health going forward, so I'm pretty much furious with the incompetent Dutch government right now. I'm not really jealous or anything (okay, maybe a little jealous); it's good that things seem to be going better elsewhere. I get that the US has probably leveraged their financial and political power to get more vaccines quickly and that's fine, but I thought we were supposed to at least be a developed country. Sadly the vaccination rate here is a total clown show, also when you compare it to for example the United Kingdom.

I am curious though, so my question is: How are vaccinations in the US organized and how can it be that people in their 30's are fully vaccinated already? Are well-off people paying for vaccines? I'd rather hear it from normal people than some media article and you guys are the Americans I can reach with the most ease.

Please send any answers/insights you may have to me via PM as to not derail the thread. I did not want to make a separate thread about this on a basketball board, but I'm really in need of some answers right about now.

Because vaccination has become a politically polarizing topic :nonono: and half the population thinks Bill Gates will be controlling your mind after you get it.... That is not an exaggeration for some people in the US

We've opened up vaccinations to people 16 and older because we likely have more supply than demand.

Here in Poland where we should have the same distribution that in Holand becouse we are in EU we just started to vaccinate people below 60 y.o

Germany is still in the 65 range, same as Brazil (where I used to live).

Isaiah Stewart was #3 and is a good rotational player with Detroit. Looks to be an NBA baller.
Vernon Carey Jr. was #6. His nickname is "Tank". It says it all!
Jaden McDaniels was #7. He also looks like he will be a rotational player.
Josh Green was #8 and another rotational player.
Nico Mannion was #9. Never heard of him. Looks like a permanent G-Leaguer.

And? Search where other guys from top 5lists are from previous years. Jaylen Hands was 3rd PG in 2017 and he plays in Serbia for pretty bad team. Former top 5 PF recruit, E.J.Montgomery is playing for Nevėžis Kėdainiai, and no, i don't know where that is, i assume Lithuannia

what do you think he meant? I mean if you are a GL vet, played in Euroleague, etc etc We would all assume that you are seasoned already and not a wide eyed rookie.

He wants the ball more  . I mean, we did let him start shooting a few of those awful looking 3's, so not sure what more he wants. I don't know who he thinks he is.

Gates is the one who has made it political. He’s literally had his hand in every aspect of it. There’s legit logical reasons for the distrust.

He’s a 6’7.5” center with no perimeter skills. That’s his box.

I never understood the narrative of him on this board. I mean... I actually do (another means to **** on Bamba). I just find it thoroughly nonsensical.

Birch tried to leave in free agency, but nobody wanted him. I’m fairly certain he would still be here if he didn’t ask to leave. Otherwise, why is Ennis still here? His agent was working to make sure he’d have a landing spot before he was cut. He wanted out. He bolted from Pitt ten games into his freshman season and gave some really stupid reasons as to why. Khem Birch is all about Khem Birch and he has no sense of what he is. He should be eternally grateful to our front office for giving him a shot in the NBA. Many superior players toil away in Europe and never get such an opportunity.

Birch seems to have an "overly" optimistic opinion of himself.

So what genetic code did he inject into multiple competing vaccines from all around the world? Did he change all of them so he can control your brain?

Look, he is definitely a weird dude and someone to question on a ton but to think he has altered or forced changes to all vaccines around the worlds is certifiably nuts.

You’re looking through the lens of a scientist. He’s not that. Take those off and put on the influencer glasses. He has tons of it and has been from start to finish.

Weird? I think he’s beyond that.

I know there's a lot that goes into this, but I find it funny that Orlando and Chicago are both 3-8 since the trade. On the surface it looks like a fair trade but Weltman literally told the public we were openly tanking while Chicago was intending to get better.

Sure, you can say that Chicago hasn't found a rhythm yet. You can also say the coach is terrible and doesn't know how to use Vuc/Lavine. But as it stands right now - it's funny.

As someone who eventually appreciated Vuc the individual player but always questioned if he was somehow holding us back due to our offense running through him, I'm very curious to see what happens with Chicago over the next year or two.
