My favourite target gone, and to the Heat!!! Life is not making it easy for me...
Next time we meet we will get scorched unless we make a move. I guess our frist was too much and denver first was too little... :(

Or they have eyes on someone else. Or they're going to stand pat.

Miami first was very awkward to overbid i understand we stood pat. We dont hear a lot of buzz around Orlando, and what we here is about WCJ what makes limited sense.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Are you prepared to go 30M+ AAV on Claxton? Because that's probably what it's gonna take to get him to leave Brooklyn.

The other part of this is that it doesn't have to be an either or scenario.

The Magic could trade for somebody like Murray or Simons right now, but still have the cap space to attack this summer by simply moving on from Isaac and Ingles.
Yeah, for sure.

I think we are seeing a team coming together around AB, Suggs, Franz, and Paolo. Claxton is the perfect compliment.

that team cannot win in today's NBA-no matter how good they are defensively...AB is not a starter unless Suggs becomes 22ppg and his 40% from 3 is real...that would give us a combination of starting guards scoring 24ppg

It's already winning? Players get better over their rookie contracts. PGs especially are late bloomers. We don't start contending until Paolo's max, anyway. This fits the timeline.

100%

and, no ...can't pay Clax that much. Maybe $22-25m? Even that hurts and could lead to trading Suggs before he becomes a beloved, but overpaid role player (not sure that's worth it)...Claxton's an elite role player...maybe downshift to Gafford who is already under contract around WCJ numbers....I don't see Clax getting that much, but (agreed) I would be concerned you'd have to overpay to steal him...in the old days, you'd say come check out ORL, talk about the fit, look there's a fake banner hanging with your name (like the good old days of recruiting), meet the cheerleaders...

Honestly, the fit is really really appealing...but you just can't overpay for a Center when we still need that high-profile guard too.

I get the Claxton buzz, but at the same time the chances Orlando moves both Carter and Goga are slim. Sure, Goga is expiring but there are bigger needs right now that need to be filled.

Who am I kidding - it’s doubtful this FO does anything anyway.

Claxton is not worth $30 mil per. Will he get it? Maybe but whoever gives it to him will not win a championship. And I’m a fan of his but that type of resource management cripples teams.

Whole nba is juicing.

What are we thinking about the second half race for a top 6 seed?

For me, it feels like a long shot.

Knicks, Cavs, Heat, and Pacers seem better.

ESPN BPI has our top 6 odds at 16.5%.

The favorites to finish top 6 are the Cavs (99.9%), Knicks (93.5%) and Pacers (54.5%).

Pacers and Heat seem to be the most vulnerable.

Problem is social media & fake natural bodybuilders who are everywhere that create body dysmorphia and hyper unrealistic expetations to a point.
That dates back in 1980s when perfect man was some action figure look like Arnold ( pro bodybuilder, spent whole his life on steroids), Van Damme, also ex but not as sucessful bodybuilder- again, steroid user, Stalone ( said that to him taking human growth hormon isn't steroid  ).

if you belive human can look like Dwight Howard on chicken breast and broccoli oh well... you will be very depressed after killing yourself in gym for several years, eating tateless food and still looking nothing alike any person you see on tv ( including modern actors like Chris Hemsworth etc. ).

Last week i saw 22 years old person in gym blasting steroids like there is no tomarrow, claiming it's "good diet ". Bro gained 40 pounds of muscles in 6 months. "Just chicken breast & broccoli bro".

I think we have an outside shot at 6. We need to stay healthy and get some consistency with our rotations. It's been too long since we've had that. Our schedule eases up a bit soon and we aren't even at all-star break yet

Orlando's final 38 opponents have a combined 0.448 record. Orlando has, by a long way, the easiest schedule to close out the season.

The Magic is predicted to 46 wins. Last season, that would have indeed been the 6-seed. And the year before. And 4-6 the year before (on percentages in the shortened season), And the 4-seed. And the 6-seed. And so on.

In conclusion, let's all root for the over on 46 wins, and that means we are rooting for a direct playoff ticket!

I have a friend who took steroids for many years. At one point he was 265lb at 6'2" with less than 7% body fat. Well eventually, it catches up to you. He got stomache issues now and can only eat a very limited vegitarian diet.
