Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part VIII)
Im still baffled that the only asset the Nets have is Lopez and we cant get D-Will with what we have. Some might not agree but Dwight didn't lobby whatsoever to convince D-Will to come down here, thats because Dwight is not a leader, As good as he is he has no spine.
There is a reason why Kobe, MJ and a like have rings. They are all leaders and didnt care what other people think about them.

I agree, we should be getting Deron and not them getting D12. Why cant we offer 5 1st round picks + Jameer + Ryno for him?

Its also because he wants to leave. Dwight has no intention of staying with the Magic, hence the no recruiting of other players.

I think Dwight has tried to bring players in occasionally in the past, failed, and basically gave up after the playoffs loss. He is blaming the FO for not doing the moves he wanted and truly believes if the moves he wanted were made, they'd have won the ring.
Now he's ready to move on.

I would trade Dwight for Blake Griffin. Put Baby Davis to the center and you have a very tough front line. It's just a thought guys, and if we had to rebuild then he is a good player to do that around IMO.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part VIII)
Wait, what if we do a Five team trade with OKC, LAL, HOU, and BOS
We get Westbrook, Scola, Martin, and a 1st
Hou gets Pau
LAL get D12, Hedo, Duhon, Q
OKC gets Rondo, Bynum
BOS gets Jameer, Ryno, Perkins
I'm not sure whether this works money-wise. . .thoughts? Just throwin stuff out there

I wonder how dwight feels about big baby? He is his friend and they got him and now he is bailing. Wonder if he recruited him or if the management just knew he was on a list from before.

I like it....it's funny we could of drafted Ellis in 2005 in the second round and now we need him to save the franchise...it's a Long shot but i hope maybe we can get something done before the season but 4 days before the first pre-season game...i don't know

Leaves PHX for 1 day and he's already broken, just like Pietrus.

Only player I've witnessed to miss DOUBLE DIGIT 3PT Attempts in one game.. Why anyone would want Carter is beyond me...

I don't think we are in that horrible of a position to get another player like Monta. A creative 3 team deal could do the trick.

With trades there is an immediate impact and a more long-term one. We'll have to see how this season plays out. Gortat vs. EC and J-Rich. I really wish we would have kept Gortat, just because I followed him from the very beginning. Through summer league watching streams online, all the way to him starting in the Philly series.

Are you forgetting about Turkoglu's contract? That was kind of a big part of that deal.
