Gortat 19/17/3/2 tonight. Had 24 points (10-18 FG, 4-4 FT) and 12 rebounds as Phoenix won at Boston on Friday.

Also Brandon Bass scoring 19 points on us today as well. Wait until Arenas comes back and drops 40 points on someone. Wait for it...

i've resigned myself to the belief that Meer won't be traded from the Magic. in any case, there's no reason this team can't have a reasonable PG backing him up. instead, we've got Duhon.

i'd love to be able to nab Ridnour or Blake as a backup for nights when Meer is struggling.

I am hoping there is more to this Jameer-Bradley Story like he is taking it out of context and there was some trash talking going on. Jameer just couldn't be so soft as to be begging for the competition to ease off

This game was outright shameful. They failed to play well as a team from top to bottom.

Unreal. :nonono:

Had to be.

Even if Jameer was having trouble, no way he asked for mercy. Bradley is a good defender, but Jameer has been guarded by better.

It had to be trash talking, which is probably what prompted Bradley to bring it up and gloat about it in the post-game interview.

Man, between this and the whole "See you in the second round" thing.....

I like it. And don't find it offensive at all. But I am a borderline sexual deviant with no moral compass. I hope I helped

Not really the point. Mods are just going by the rules. If you can't use certain words here then your sigs can't either. They don't make the rules but they do have to enforce them.

I'm over this game already. Wish the game thread for the Pacers game was up so that the memory of this game thread can be washed away...

Went to bed at half time and recorded the rest of the game. Got up this morning eager to see if we made a run, but really wished I'd just left it. That second half was beyond pathetic.

Jameer was clearly struggling with the full court pressure from Bradley, so why the hell were our players all turning their back and running up the floor and leaving him to deal with it? Either get someone else to bring the ball up, or offer him options to pass out of the pressure.

Extension of that point - stupid turnovers. Meer not coping with the pressure, Baby saving the ball right to a Celtic at the free throw line while all our players turned their heads (sensing a theme), Jameer's carry, Redick's double dribble, Hughes' 8 second violation. All of them are such high school plays.

Dwight let Boston's frontcourt, specifically Jermaine O'Neal and KG, get in his head and throw him off his game.

Baby seemed to let the occasion get the better of him. His emotion and effort were good defensively, but on offense he was even more out of control than usual.

Ryan Anderson needs to learn how to protect the ball at the rim. A man 6'11 with decent athleticism shouldn't get blocked as much as he does. (Extension, Dwight needs to stop bringing the ball down to his knees after getting an offensive board)

Hedo needs to get involved from the beginning of games. At least make it look like you care.

Jameer needs to learn how to play again (just when we thought he was turning the corner).

In short, and in true Wizard of Oz fashion, various players on our team need either heart, courage or a brain. Looking at the above, it's mostly brains.

Rant over, I feel better for getting it off my chest.

Horrible effort and execution in every way imaginable.

Give Boston some credit, but give the Magic most of the blame.

Toss that game film in the can after every player has sat, watched, and critiqued their own lack of effort both mentally and physically.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability
