Well, Warriors do need a backup PG with Curry's injury history. Being Otis Smith's history with Golden State and possible employment there someday, I bet we can make this happen.

Hedo and Duhon for Jefferson or Beidrins or something like that. Well, if Otis helps out, maybe we can get a 1st rounder for it also.

Their contracts are just awful too...

I think JJ could run the point in a triangle offense.

Pretty sure that's why we're getting Phil-- To put a better team around Dwight.

Most likely scenario of that happening is requiring Dwight to be patient for a year and wait til 2013. The trade assets we have won't really land him any help. Not sure how Phil can change that.

offensively, no doubt, but picture JJ defending the other PGs around the league.

Honestly think about what you are implying... just because we would have Phil does not mean that will suddenly turn Hedo/JRich/Duhon etc... into viable trade assets, they are still crap and borderline unmoveable contracts and players. The only chance we have is in 2013

Guys Phil is NOT coming. Alex has already finished his interviews and is ready to send his finalists to DeVos. Phil has to be in ORL full time if he has a shot at our GM gig. Do you guys really think, Alex will hire someone who will be in ORL once a week. Just don't get your hopes up, cuz this is VERY UNLIKELY to happen.

That's what I initially thought too: but then I pictured Jameer and Duhon guarding the other PGs around the league.

At least JJ has size at 6'5" which makes it harder for guys to pass or shoot around. JJ can be a pesky defender. Back when CLee was here, Stan used them together at times.

^--- not sure he's 6'5... i'm 6'3 and when I saw him in person he's about my height, maybe a smidge taller. supposedly he has "T-rex" arms as he calls them, so the wingspan isn't there and that's the most important part with size.

He would be president of bball operations, not GM. The GM would be there everyday.

Arguing about his height is all semantics; could he really be a worse defender than Jameer or Duhon?

JJ playing PG in the triangle is very intriguing..he fits what is asked of PGs in the triangle exactly IMO

I nominate you for the Golden State GM job.

I might accept if you give me a minority ownership

Yeah, he is coming next week to finalize deal. He is bringing Jordan along with him too, to be our GM and Shaq to coach the team.

I'm sure that MJ would play D better than Jrich...

I don't think the Phil Jackson thing as described will happen. Wouldn't put money on it ..

As for the rest of the buzz, I think a Pritchard/Penn combo with Shaw as the new HC would be a great choice and most of all (for once) quite realistic

They're all still relatively young, and it would be a fresh breeze of air this franchise could really use at the moment.

For once, I hope we can start making the right decisions at the right times. Jeff Bower is not the right decision. Friendship is what caused the whole Arenas mess, let's hope Alex won't make the same mistake.

"Latest Jackson to Magic scenario Dead On Arrival"
Sources told Broussard Wednesday that the Magic do not want an absentee head of basketball operations.

Just another random plan submitted and leaked by Sam Vincent... nothing to see here folks, move along.
