#5: SAC: Andre Drummond (They need a shot blocker)

My picks were similar only difference I had was MKG at #3 and Beal at #4

Wizards need a SG, Jordan Crawford won't cut it

Agreed.

I also personally guarantee that Dwight will never play for the Rockets.

Rockets will trade all those draft picks for #5 to draft Drummond.

Keep JJ, Jameer, BBD, Hedo, Duhon, Q, Liggins, Harper for the minimum salary reasons and move Howard/JRich for the 3 1sts KMart, filler thats a solid start

thoughts?

Not feeling it. I think once you move out of the top 10, the quality of talent and potential declines. I was skeptical of even considering Dwight for 2 top 10 picks, just because the draft is so variable. Yes, they're high picks, but more often than not, they end up being somewhere between solid starters to out of the league in 2 years. If we got a return of 3+ draft picks in the first round, I'd trade some to land some veteran talent around the young guys. You don't want too many rookies coming into training camp, like the Sacramento Kings every year, and not have vets be there to teach those guys how to become professionals.

But we do have Q-BBD-JJ-Jameer as well as hopefully B.Shaw for HC

I feel like 2-6 are fluid. I agree with the above assessment but I could also see Charlotte taking any of them at 2.

Should we make a Mock Draft competition thread to see who gets the most picks right?

JJ and Jameer could possibly be gone. And I'm not sure how good of mentors Duhon, Turk, and J-Rich may be for young rooks coming in the league. JJ and BBD are good, but I've personally never been a fan of a team of young players without some good veteran leadership. I'm pretty sure that's why teams like NOH and HOU try to trade the picks they don't want for veteran talent.

You might want to delete the first row part out. I wouldn't want you getting in trouble for that. Btw, Welcome To The Boards!

Looks like it's all over.

Dwight Howard’s departure from the Orlando Magic seems inevitable, with sources close to the situation characterizing the relationship between the superstar and the organization as irreparable. Sources say Howard no longer wants to be in Orlando and he won’t give the franchise the long-term commitment they’re seeking this summer. Howard hopes to be traded and he has been exploring all of his options in recent days.

Rob Hennigan, who was hired as Orlando’s new general manager last week, wants to salvage the relationship with Howard, but the damage may already be done. Howard seems ready to move on, with the Brooklyn Nets atop his list of preferred destinations. Howard has long coveted a trade to Brooklyn, where he would team up with Deron Williams, but sources close to the situation say that the Nets don’t have the trade assets to acquire Howard.

Edited, thanks for the heads up. Thanks for the welcome, happy to find a good board with some Magic fans.
