Yeah, not sure why Henny loves the guy so much but it might take more. Could be a smokescreen though.

Butler and a 1st would probably do. Would the bulls accept though?

I would **** myself if we landed Butler AND a 1st for Afflalo. Would probably need to throw Harkless in there seems like a lot fo Aaron.

Moe doesn't need to be an All-Star or even a Starter for the Magic. They are stacked at most of the positions he plays. Thus, if he ends up a solid 20-25mpg defensive stopper that can shoot the 3 at around 35% plus, then I am a happy camper. Because, between the draft and free agents, I am sure filling in needed spots will not be a problem.

No, Butler is Deng's replacement who will be gone next year. 2014 first rounder and Teague would probably be the Bulls best offer.....which would be a great haul for a guy that might not start next year.

A guy that doesnt play at all would be a great haul for a guy that "may" not start next year? Even if that were true Afflalo is still a good player and would get starter mins regardless of whether or not he's actually in the starting lineup.

I figured but the teague/1st option isn't good enough for Afflalo. Teague looks like a career backup (and not a great one) and that 1st round pick could end up being in the 22-27 range. Now, if near the deadline that pick projects to be in the 15-20 range, I can see Orlando doing the deal.

Well, 22-27 in this year's draft equals 10-15 range in last year's draft. 2014 picks are gold because of the new CBA and that this is the deepest draft in a decade. I don't know if you can get a better offer than that. Who knows.

Well the pick is the main haul in the deal, not Teague.

For the record, moe is shooting 58% from the ft line so far

Also, Teague and a first would get done
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

You know, we don't have to trade Afflalo right?

I am one the biggest "tank for the draft" guys here and know the prospects well, I don't care what year it is, it is hard to get excited about the 25th pick in the draft. This draft isn't very deep. It's loaded with talent in the lottery but not deep.

Teague is a throw in. You would trade Afflalo for a late first round pick?

Yeah I'd definitely do it. The bulls wouldn't. They're not trying to pay afflalo's salary, and give up a young player on a cheap deal, and give up a first rounder in a loaded draft... Not gonna happen... Not from their end at least. Rob would pull the trigger though

You don't have to now, I would do this deal in the offseason. It's still top to bottom one of the best drafts in years. I would be willing to bet that no GM will trade their first rounder this year because of it.

The Bulls might do it if Deng is let go and they amnesty Boozer. Afflalo is on a really good deal.

What about Boozer and a 2014 first for Afflalo and Big Baby?

The draft is not loaded at picks 22-30.

trading afflalo for a late first round pick would be awfulalolalo. he's worth more than that. he's an asset with a known and respectable contribution level. you don't trade that for a shot in the dark in the late first round.

Nope but Deng and that pick would probably work.

And why would you want an expiring contract?

A late 2014 first round pick isn't a shot in the dark, its a young, cheap, valuable asset in this new CBA.

Moving BBD would free up space for Harkless, Nicholson and Harris to coexist.
