Crowder is not worth more than Vooch. Vooch on his contract is a steal. A package involving Vooch and Crowder is possible, but straight up Vooch is worth more than Crowder.

Agreed. Adding Vuc would help them a lot more then adding Crowder here. Need to ask for more in return. Giving up Vuc is hard bc he is playing so well for us off the bench. Still, Crowder is a defensive wing, who can shoot which we highly need. He can defend multiple positions and is one hell of an effort guy. That and he is on a great contract. He's def a Vogel guy.

Well don't go to the Boston forum because you got people saying it will take Gordon to pry Crowder from Boston

None of us know ! But if we traded for crowder does Gordon go to bench ? And we would lose vuc creating a rebounding problem. Which is the reason Boston would want vuc for . To help with the rebounding .

If we traded for Crowder with Gordon, Ibaka and Biyombo still in the starting lineup, I'd assume Crowder would come off the bench taking Green's spot in the rotation. I'd love to have Crowder replace Green, but I'm not sure what the appropriate price would be to make that happen.

I'm assuming one of Biz or Vucevic would be on the way out. Not sure Vucevic for Crowder is a completely fair value, but toss in a pick and we may have to start talking. I'd much rather keep Vucevic over Biz but also recognize the disparity in potential trade value.

Us toss in a pick or them?

Feel like we'd have to get a pick back. Not the Nets pick, but maybe their own. There's a framework for a deal around those 2 guys with some fillers that can be worked out. Not a splashy move but could be a minor step forward.

I'm still reluctant to give up Vucevic. This team needs a go to scorer more than anything. Crowder isn't that but he's a really good role guy.

I feel the same, about giving Nik up. But a trade centered around those two, I feel they would need to add a pick. IMO Nik is more valuable than Crowder. I'd be more willing to give up Nik + fillers, if we could get back Crowder and Bradley.

No, but can't rule out any move at this point after what happened last season and over the summer. Everybody assumes it would be for Vuc, but it could also be for a number or players on this team. Even Ibaka is not safe due to his contract situation. Ibaka next to Horford would probably make more sense for Boston. They also liked Gordon a lot in the draft...

The only 1st round pick BOS has this year is the ability to switch with Brook. They have some second round picks but that's not enough. We made the mistake of not asking for a 1st with Tobias. Can't do that again.

Crowder himself is a steal at the contract he signed.

The difference is Vuc is a big, and as bad as an offensive option Vuc is, we need his ability to create his own shot than Crowder knocking down open threes.

The shame of such a deal would be that Vuc would probably pass to Crowder for open 3s more than Fournier, Ibaka and Biz combined.

I'm not sold on Crowder's 3pt shooting either... shooting a great percentage over 27 games, but before that he never even reached league average in any of his previous 4 seasons.

Ha. Good luck with that. Vuc does not have nearly enough value to get both Crowder and Bradley with filler attached. Not even close. He's about equal to Crowder in terms of value.

Crowder's favorite childhood memory is of visiting Disney World and SeaWorld with his family when he was 8 years old. Looks like he's passing that on to his own family....

He also spent summers in Florida when he was in high school, though I'm not sure if it was anywhere near Orlando. His dad was (is?) on the board of directors of the Orlando chapter of the National Basketball Retired Players Association.

Sorry. When I hear filler, I think salary filler for salary matching purposes.

27 games at 5+ attempts a game is enough for me. it could come down but maybe to 38-39%

It would have been great if Orlando could have gotten Crowder for Harris when it was rumored.

I belive it was reported that Ainge backed out when we asked for Harris. But yes, that would have been great.
