NO. I want him gone too... Sorry guys, not to be debbie downer but he has handled this very poorly and I simply have lost trust in him.

If this does indeed come to fruition, the only thing I can hope is that he gets on THE SAME PAGE with the FO this go around. There needs to be a real plan put in place. No trade requests, no uncertainties. Tell them you want Monta and/or JSmith in summer 2013, and tell them if they don't get one of those two, you won't resign then and you will try FA, and nothing else about it mentioned until that point. It is, of course, up to Dwight at that point to recruit one or both of those guys and relay the message

Man BadMofoPimp got lucky here. And still, we weren't wrong to not want to lose Howard for nothing. He obviously changed his mind at almost the last possible second. Dwight is lucky we didn't already trade him.

Change of heart, that is all it is. Anyone pretending to be a prophet knowing Dwight's puppy heart was really set on opting in all along or that he never wanted to leave us, the people he loves is crazy. The dude made a last-minute decision. He didn't think we meant business but we were this close to trading his ass.

I don't think it's a coincidence that right after he pissed off management by trying to trick them (which he allegedly has been trying for weeks), he all of a sudden opts in. He saw he was really about to be traded and changed his mind.
