People who have already given up on Gordon before he's played a single NBA game should be held accountable next season.

That's not just quibbling or sour grapes or choosing character over talent. After Dwight, I'm ready to be entertained by a group of guys who want to be here and aren't full of themselves. That's the team we're building. If the talent means diva power moves and lazy defense, count me out. I'd rather fret about free throw percentage than whether he's going to try to force a trade one day.

I have no idea if that will ever happen with this kid. There's enough spotlight on him to be concerned. I can't wish that on Utah even to make myself feel better about our draft pick, so I hope he turns out fine.

Dwight wantwd to be here too when we drafted him

How in the world do you know where any of these guys would wanna go? Who's to say Payton doesn't eventually wanna play in New Orleans or Gordon may want to go to the Warriors or some other Cali team or Phoenix.

Not good just to assume the team not only us but anyone is building is filled with guys "who wanna be here".

Sidenote: Exum to Vucevic woulda been sweet and Exum Dipo backcourt would easily have rivaled Wall Beal in a couple of years.... oh well.. but still damn it man...

Wow way too many over reactions to these rookies .. a weeks look at our guys and not even 30 minutes of Exum in the summer league. Now the world is ending, Henny should be fired and Gordon will be a bust... We are all in this together let's try to stay positive and have a little faith in our future

So we shouldn't assume things now? I thought that was like, you know, your whole thing. The irony of this post. Alanis Morissette would weep.

Easily can tell who watched the games and who didn't cause the defensiveness is ridiculous.

Nothing wrong at all with saying Player A is better than Player B y'all guys spazzing cause you feel like it equates to Player B sucks cause he isn't as good as Player A which is pretty juvenile.

Wreaks of jealousy. Gotta be bigger than that, especially the character that keeps quoting me with the "this ain't no tank bitches" sig.

he reminds me of kobe..the style, the swag, the quickness, the gliding, the passing, the hustle.

i hope gordon turns out to be great but i can already see an NBA ready player in exum and we wouldve had the best back court in the NBA with dipo/exum running the show with vuc down low. #12 couldv'e been traded up to snag a defensive BIG or maybe gordon may have fallen there. I hope payton ends up being better than exum though:)

Summer league is fun cuz guys who never play in the NBA get extreme reactions out of people. I thought, and still think, Exum's not gunna do a lot in the NBA, but ultimately hope he's a super star. I hope Gordon is a super star. I just want a bunch of amazing players in the league and want us to have a few of them.

Lets just put it this way...if gordon turns out to be average and dante turns into an tier 1 or tier 2 all-star, then Henni and co will have this on their resume for the rest of his tenure with the Magic.

Everyone including non-magic fans were shocked Magic passed on exum. when embiid went #3. No one was thinking about AG.

I think AG will be an awesome player based on his athleticism. I guess henni thinks he cand evelop a scoringgame and if that happens than AG can be easily a top 2 player out of this draft class.

If you watch exum play, you can tell he can hold his own even if its just summer league. watch that replay clip. He has all the intangibles to be a great player and you can see he is comfortable out there.

Payton's passing is at another level. he's an absolute freak.

personally, my biggest concern is whether or not Exum grows into a better player than Dipo. because if that's the case, we could have taken both Exum and Payton. Exum already looks much more capable of taking guys off the dribble than Dipo, but Dipo's a better finisher right now.

Magic fans are fickle and short sighted.

It's not even worth it to debate with posters.

If Exum becomes good, great.

Hennigan didn't MESS up or **** up because he hasn't played in a real NBA game yet - even then, most players don't come into the league as gangbusters unless they're hall of famers.

Our draft pick is the second youngest guy in the league.

Relax.

I mean .. you can feel how you feel, you could be right when it's all said and done in 10 years.. but if you are that adamant every time you see OUR OWN TEAM play then you might as well follow the team with the other guy on it.

We got who we got, why no support them and hope they prove you wrong?

Apparently the Warriors Are willing to give up Klay in a 3 team deal and will only be receiving draft picks... Pleas lord let us make a move for Klay Thompson. We could give them so much more..

Happy to see Exum doing good in his debut. I'll cheer for him even though we didn't draft him. I'd feel worse if he was sucking because I was on his bandwagon so hard.

Payton has made me a BIG BIG fan really fast so I'm stoked with no regrets. Payton is tenacious. Exum does look like a Superstar though. So damn fast.

We are now 2 years into the "youngest guy" argument for MKG. Look how that has turned out so far...

Please stop saying because AG is young means that he will magically become some superstar after a year or two. That isn't how things work.

Not for nothing, but one game into LVSL and Dante Exum already has more steals than Aaron Gordon amassed in Summer League -- 1 steal.

I noticed Gobert pointing to the sky signaling for a lob and then exum just dumped it off and it turned into free throws instead of an easy dunk. Gobert made a point to tell exum this after the play. Payton would have definitely thrown the lob before Gobert could even put his hand up in that situation.

I didn't say he is going to become a superstar. I'm saying that we didn't pick him to put up 30/12 in a SL game.

I am saying that factually, no 18 year olds ever set the league on fire the first year unless your name is LeBron. Doesn't mean Gordon can't be a great pick.
