Yeah but Beal has said repeatedlythat he doenst want to leave, and wasnt interested in getting traded, so i dont see it as a big deal

If they show him they are doing what it take to win, and hire a coach that he ends up liking, i dont see why he wouldnt stay

Personally, I wasn't high on Atkinson.

Not that I don't think he could do well with our group, but it's also not a guarantee.

Vogel developed Indy, but we know how that turned out.

I don't think we're left with scraps either. It's not like there's any one candidate that's been or is available that is that attractive anyway.

There's no reason to think we can't find the next Doc Rivers or up-and-coming guy that can take us where we need to go.

And I know, some people made that comparison to Jacque Vaughn. But Jacque never was of the Doc mold outside of being a former NBA point guard.

At this point, unless it's Stotts who I wouldn't be thrilled about, I'm not going to react to the hiring one way or the other.

He/she still has to perform. So I'm letting go and enjoying the ride.

I was just pointing out Westbrook has a few years left of his best and I believe Beal over the last few seasons has struggled with injuries. As far as I'm aware their young guns aren't good enough to make the leap if one of those two go down and if one of them do? Expect Beal to walk somewhere else, which leaves you with an aging Westbrook as basically your best player. It comes down to being shackled to make success in your first year because you will be jettisoned if Beal leaves versus having a few years to build something. I would take the Orlando job and not look back.

The disaster scenario is if he walks and they get no compensation. I don’t think it’s a bad job otherwise though.

Gafford was a magic elixir for them. They got so much better after that trade. He finishes well, pounds the offensive glass, and protects the rim.

I don’t really think very highly of the rest of their young talent, but they are probably ahead of us in their rebuild if they move Beal. Someone will sacrifice their first born to get him.

Perhaps. There was a time a few years ago Woj couldn't report on draft picks so he had to phrase it different.

Might just be simple as he isn't signed yet but is going to.

Robbins said they’re working on contract details. Maybe he’s just waiting until that’s done to make it official?
