Dime a dozen. We need a guy who can be a brute enforcer. All playoff teams have a guy like that. For our team, it won't be Suggs, Franz, Paolo. So it boils down to PG and C. It's not happening at PG. So C is it. ...and no Mo Wags is not that guy either.

Brute enforcer? what do you mean?

Who is/was that guy for:
Denver -
Minny -
Bos -
Indy -

You (at least) need a WCJ to even hope to matchup with certain bigs, but not every team has or needs a Steven Adams. Wrong sport.

I don't mind Goga for that role at all...just not paying much more than a RoLo deal for that spot.

Dii WePark attend the combine and scrimmage? If they didn't, we know what we are doing with that pick

we wouldn't know since team coverage has really fell off. We used to get video of player interviews and nuggets about which prospects we had meetings with.

I mean... we don't have any news at all...

Speaking of nothing going on, it's still over a month until the draft:

Are any of you interested of maybe doing some sort of mock draft with the Magic board? I was thinking of trying for 30 picks (if we get that far, seeing these before, they can move kind of slowly), ~2 teams per participant. Iirc there's 25 teams with a pick in the first round, so we' need 12 people or so.

Anybody interested in something like that?

Yeah that's a stretch, looking at that list. I do like me some enforcer types though.

Broh... most of "brute enforcers" are mentally immature boys who have no control over their emotions.

Magic already have group of people who were flexing vs Cavs after every layup just to cry like little kids once they lost. Being emotional goes both ways, those players have incredible highs when things go in their favor, but also tend to slip into abyss once things go south.
You can say one of reasons why Cavs menaged to beat us in game 7 was because nobody but Garland was cought into emotions.

And having people who pretend to be all ghetto will probably lead you toward Draymoond Green / Ja Morant scenarios more than something good at basketball court. OR worst case Arenas/Artest scenarios.

I want somebody who is good at basketball. Always. In perfect world somebody who has control over his emotions.

Btw in what world Gordon, Siakam, 200 pounds 7'4 Zingis are "brute enforcers"?

You really think guy dressed like this causes fear in his enemies?

Guy might be target of some bees gang dressed like that.

This is exactly what we shouldn't do. If attacking on dimensional shooters who can't crack the rotation was the fix, we'd have been fine when we took Houston or Jett. We don't need a shooter, we need good basketball players who can shoot.

Are we even bringing prospects to work out or interview this time around?

Bench player on 2-32 team :D

I would stay a f*** off all players from Ignite team this year, they were pathetic, like they were one of worst baseketball teams i have ever seen play.

During last streach of a season they piled up:
21 points differential L
15 points differential L
30 points differential L
19 points differential L
27 points differential L
14 points differential L
24 points differential L
12 points differential L
41 points differential L
8 points differential L
11 points differential L

What's the value of player who can't start on this pile of s*** ?
His stats don't look bad, but you also have to take in considirations at least portion of his "production" happends in garbage time, and given how Ingite played, almost whole games were at times -garbage time.

Trackrecord of Ignite players, even on Ingite teams that weren't this bad, is poor. Most of them need years of reprograming to be playable in nba.

sure, but the question becomes as a 19 year old is there enough there to roll the dice and invest resources in? How good can he be when he's say, 24-25 years old? as you said the ignite program was a horrible mismanaged mess....no one can know how good these kids are really

Better question is: how many teams are willing to waste 5 years of roster spots on player that is very raw and who's ultimate ceiling is poor man's PJ Washington, knowing you can have PJ Washington- for two second round picks.
