Steve Kyler ‏ @stevekylerNBA

RT @tonyyynyc: is crawford a free agent next yr? ---> has option to be.

so if he wants to be traded to Orlando, as rumored, we should be able get him for a steal..

We can sign someone after the trade deadline, dont worry.

We should try out some NBDL centers, 10-day contracts are for this kind of thing.

I posted a trade earlier w/ Portland landing Beasley, we ship J-Rich to Minny, and the Blazers give us Crawford. Everyone wins in that trade imo.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7axvz6a

We also send a 1st to Portland.

Not a chance that happens. More like Portland gets Beasley as they want expirings. Minnesota gets J-Rich as they need a 2, but don't want to only get richardson in return for him. We get Crawford.

Because Minnesota doesn't want to give up Beas for J-Rich straight up, send them a pick and/or cash. Preferably a second round pick.

Josh Robbins ‏ @JoshuaBRobbins

Otis Smith would not rule out a trade not involving Dwight Howard before the 3 p.m. NBA trade deadline.

No way we get Crawford without giving up both jrich, duhon or redick. Just no minutes to play him. I assume he'll get about 20mpg-30mpg which is likely to happen on any team he lands.

At this stage speculation will thin out as moves actually get made, and they'll get their own threads (if we make moves).

AWESOME!

Well with that said..

Portland could just keep him. But, they sat him yesterday and are very, very determined to move him. Portland believes he and Felton are the ones undermining Nate.

Scotty Anez reports Otis is working the phones. Expect a trade.

Otis on the phones could mean a trade is coming .. Or he's calling his wife: "Baby, I'll be home in 10mins .. No, I'm not trading today, too tired"

We only need to move J-Rich. He'd automatically get minutes above Duhon as backup PG. The talent disparity is huge between the two. Then he could also play some minutes behind JJ.
