Sure, but there are plenty of career altering ACL tears too, e.g. Jabari Parker, Derrick Rose. It certainly isn't a death sentence, but I would feel a lot better if JI had another skill to rely on like perimeter shooting or passing. I do agree the Magic should do their best to extend him this offseason, because really what other choice do they have than to hope that he comes back at 100%, they may get an idea of his recovery before his free agency, but not how he is going to look in game action. May as well get him under contract on team/player friendly deal before someone bids him up. The Mavs extended Porzingis to a full 5 year max off an ACL tear, its likely another team would roll the dice on JI. He would be the perfect player on A LOT of teams.

those two cases are a bit different....Jabari tore his ACL in his rookie year so i mean can we say that the injury altered his career? maybe but it's also possible that jabari was just never as good as he was hyped to be since he was supposed to be more skill base than athletic base.....but he's carved out a decent career after the injury....Derrick rose was special athletically and he relied on that and yes he was never the same player....but he has carved out a good career after his injury....so i don't know if this is an apples to apples comparison.....though i get the gist of what you're saying

If anyone is looking for an outdoor park to play basketball at, The 3 best ones I found that I have played at recently (Wes Crile Park- Deltona, Westmonte Park- Altamonte Springs and Trotwood park- Winter Springs).

The team isn't healthy at all and was still able to compete tonight. We get to see Fultz get some playoff minutes and might also have AG back, maybe Bamba if his COVID recovery is going well

100% agree

The magic fan base is so weak, always crying

agreed,,,, there are some that will always look at the worst scenario.... whether we win or lose.... they will find the worse in it .... and focus solely on that.... especially if it is something that they don't agree with or helps prove their point. :-/ I just come for the information. hahaha

No wonder why Martins just cares about making the playoffs. People are content with an under .500 club just as long as we make the playoffs... wow.

There are so many levels between “Content as is” and “blow it up, burn it down, draft Hall of Famers”...it’s sounding like the extremist political crap that (I hope) 90% of Americans don’t truly identify with.

5 guys play at a time. Changing 2 spots (hopefully upgrading) and/or game plan is huge. We don’t have to go “Heart and Hustle” to make a jump

We couldn't be in much worse shape entering the playoffs even if we actually tried to sabotage ourselves. It's gonna be ugly.

Fultz averaged 19 7 7 without Fournier in the lineup. I think he starts and has a big game.

Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

In theory we could start a Fultz-DJ backcourt. Would be great if DJ would play the spot up role and Fultz the ball handler role ? probably wont happen do to MCW injury hurting our PG rotation.

Honestly Id rather play the Bucks. At least it will be a fun sweep watching Giannis throw down some exciting dunks. A Raps series is just gonna be a 4 game torture chamber.

Nobody is saying burn it to the ground and go draft 4 hall of famers and become the modern day Spurs.

People would just like to see us even have the potential to become A top 4 seed in the East. We don’t have that potential, && asking fans to have hope that a coach in Clifford who has never elevated a roster past a 7th seed and a completely unproven FO in WeHam is going to make the tweaks needed to get us there is a big ask.

That’s why many think starting over would be the best path forward. The path we are on leads to NBA purgatory 9 times out of 10 unless you have a strong fo with a proven draft record like Indiana, Denver, Toronto, San Antonio, or Miami.

People keep bringing up those names like they aren’t the outliers tho. For each of those names there’s 10 different front offices of the past decade who have failed to do the same thing leading to an inevitable tear down. We are much more set up for that then we are to become the next Toronto or Indiana.

I don't know cause the west side is likely to be orange county and osceola. I think the outdoor parks in orange county still don't have the basketball hoops up. Every time I went to a park in orange county, there's neither no rim up or no net. I was only going to Wes Crile Park at the time because I wasn't aware of Westmonte Park or Trotwood park, although Wes Crile Park does have an indoor basketball gym but it's not open yet and that could change things if Wes Crile Park opened their indoor basketball gym and LA fitness/ 24 hour fitness still don't have their basketball court open.

Westmonte Park is hit or miss but Trotwood park there's always people at the basketball court. Wes Crile Park always has people at the basketball court as long as it's 5 pm and after when it's not as hot anymore.

Jacque Vaughn has kept that Brooklyn team more competitive than us, and they're considerably more injury depleted than we are.
