At the end of the day, I see Vin Baker in the dude, not Ryno or Brackins.

He turns into Baker (oncourt) cool but all this "complete post game crap" is killin' me cause isn't Dwight supposed to be that dude (as long as he's here)?

I'll say this about Nicholson. His ceiling is higher than Ryan Anderson's.

#Magic pick Andrew Nicholson didn't start playing basketball until he was in the 11th grade of high school. He previously played baseball.

:-o Hopefully he still has a lot of room to grow?

Andrew Nicholson, Senior, 6-9, PF, St. Bonaventure
Where he probably will be picked: 20-25
Where he should be picked: 10-14
Had Nicholson come out of a major program, he would easily be a lottery pick in this draft. At 6-9, Nicholson can get points from anywhere on the floor with great efficiency. While mainly a power forward, he has the size and shot-blocking ability to play center for portions of games, especially with this year’s playoffs demonstrating that teams are much more willing to play small ball.
Right now, Nicholson is slotted to be picked in the early 20s, and the Boston Celtics would be foolish to let him fall past them if they keep both of their picks. How a high-character big man, capable rebounder and excellent shooter is viewed as likely to slip out of the lottery is a head-scratcher.

His ceiling is way higher than Ryan. Nick has a complete pachage inside whether it is jump hook or getting the dunk.

People think because the guy can shoot 3s, it makes him a sretch 4.. Since when is 53 3s in 385 shots a lot? 37% of Harper shots in College were 3 pointers, just 13 percent of Nicholson were 3s. I don't get the comparison. Nicholson a better re-bounder, a heck of a lot better post game, and longer.

I take it back, he's an Antawn Jamison clone.

Awkward shot, hard to stop.

People are really reaching here, everyone in college had a decent back to the basket game. Ryan is the same age as Nicholson right now and put up a great year, so yeah I don't see Nicholson having a higher ceiling. Justin and Ryan both could post up with success in college and both did it at younger ages then Nicholson. I like Nicholson he is a solid player with a great wingspan but he is a horrible post defender which is odd. I don't like his age and the position he plays but if we move BBD and Harper maybe it makes sense.

I don't know if his ceiling is really that high. I think his floor is high, but he's an older guy who's gotten by so far by already fulfilling most of his potential. There's not a lot of natural born athleticism in his game. He gets by off size, length and hustle. Underwhelming athleticism, quickness, speed and hops.

Glad you mentioned this. Too many people are calling him incorrectly as a stretch 4. The ability seems to be there, but that's pigeon holing him too hard.

Let's see what other moves Rob makes. As many other posters have noted, we have logjam at the 4, so that's a reasonable indicator something's up.

Never heard of the guy, but I like what I see. If he can get some meat on him, which it looks like his frame can totally handle..he could be our starter in a year or two. I think he will make an excellent backup at PF right out of the gate.

But he has potential. If he's gonna get some weight training at NBA level, man, he is going to be good.

This. He's going to get bigger in the weight room too. He has range, but is going to be shooting a lot of mid-range jumpers instead. I think he's backup to Baby, but can play with him as he slides to center. I like the pick, and apparently Sullinger has disc bulges. Melo or Teague would have been nice here as well, but Rob took the best player on the board. Clark and Ryan are probably goners, and Harper was someone else pick. I think there are decent pg's in the second round yet.

Very accurate because he has great length and nice size but he has slow foot speed and lateral quickness.
