There are those who do not share your opinion that the offers for Dwight will not improve with time. Also, on the off chance the Magic really think they can get Dwight to stay, keeping Dwight until the deadline provides the Magic a chance to try and improve the team.

People that think keeping Dwight is a good idea think he'll resign with us next summer because he can't go to the Nets or Lakers and think he won't go to the Hawks or Mavs because he can make more money in Orlando. There is no other reason to keep him.
