C´s fan that come in peace
GD is imo one of the guys that could have a great season since DH and RA are gone. Since him is ex C´s I´m just wanted to know what would you expect from him this season ? and if you think he could do the job.
Thx in advance
Francisco

he COULD do that, but I think we want to run our juniors more and get them up. Might be good at the start of the season as we ease in our rooks, but near the end his PT will likely drop off

I can see him putting up averages like in the month of March and during the playoffs if he's motivated and playing hard.

I don't know if he's the type of guy to be super motivated unless he's on a top8 team fighting for playoff positioning.
As the losses pile up so will his frustration. I think he'll quietly ask to be traded mid-season and we'll oblige

I think he'll be fine as long as he has a big role on the team. He's been an afterthought since he's been in the NBA, so I think he'll enjoy being a top contributor even if we're losing. He's not a star, so if he goes to a winning situation, he'll just end up as a sixth man again. Now, if he gets benched for a rookie or 2nd year player, then he will likely throw a fit and implode.

I was impressed with his performance once Howard was out, especially during the playoffs where he took on the role of a tough, hard-nosed force in the middle.
However, I was not impressed with his sore attitude and listlessness on the court when he backed up Ryan. I think as long as he gets his way (starts) he'll peform well; it's when he comes off the bench that he doesn't seem to care too much, which is a terrible attribute to have.
Of course, he will be starting, and because of that I expect around 16-18ppg and 8-10reb.

We don't have any Davies on our roster and I don't think C's had such player recently. But if you're talking about Davis, then he's about to average sth along the lines of 16/8.

I agree with 16 and 8 or 16 and 10... Something along those lines.

He already has a ring he doesnt have to worry bout that I think at this point he'd like to be the "man" on a team so he will put up with a losing season or 2 if he is the high scorer center of attention or at least part of a duo or trio as long as we continue to improve season by season he wont get antsy for another ring for awhile. just my thoughts.....
