Just thinking out loud here.. UF plays the winner of the Bama/GA game for the NC. UF beats FSU and USC beats ND.

Is that the slim chance you're talking about Magicman123?

i did say slim, and the gators will lose to the Noles.. what if Georgia loses to Georgia Tech, and Georgia beats Bama in the SEC CG? both teams will have 2 losses and the gators are sitting pretty, or what if ND goes down and the gators beat FSU? could get very interesting, maybe 2 SEC teams like last year :D

it wont happen, gators are not that good overall anyways, just having fun

Kansas St has had a great year, but they proved that their status was a bit higher than their talent level.

Give 'em credit but I'd expect to see them fall to at least #6, maybe a couple of spots farther down too.

The Baylor win didn't surprise me, but the Oregon loss was shocking.

And yeah, it's tough to stay on top.

I think Notre Dame goes down next week too.....provided Barkley recovers

how is this for a crazy scenario that the nation would hate.

USC beats ND.

UGA beats Bama.

UGA plays UF again for the national title. 2 teams from the SEC, 1 team not even playing for their division and conference championship.

The nation and pundits would go nuts.

With the move by Maryland and Rutger's expected announcement today, it looks like all of this conference crap is heading towards a steep cliff....with the left-outs being forced to jump off.

The move by Maryland is horrible for everyone except their bank account.

It helps the Big 10. Gets them more East Coast exposure, gets them into the DC tv markets. It is great for Rutgers, they were going nowhere in the Big East and would have been left sitting out in a different conference re-organization. No one was going to come calling for a NJ school

I think we are headed to four 16 team conferences. SEC - Big 10 (16?) - Pac 16(?) - ACC, possibly an expanded Big 12 to catch any of the bigger name schools left out of the 4 above,
