After getting a lot of criticism for the yield they got for Howard, Orlando's looking really good. They identified a very good, cheap, & young center prospect in Nikola Vucevic, a wing with some potential in Harkless, 3 1st Round picks, and they're gonna be bad enough this year to have a Top 3-4 pick of their own. Next year you're looking at a core of Vucevic, Top 3-4 draft pick, a ton of cap space, and Hedo's large, expiring contract to move as well. They did very well for themselves in that trade and will be amongst the better young teams in the NBA in 2 years if they don't f**k up their high draft picks.

Vucevic, Harkless, Nicholson are gonna combine to make about $5.2M next year. That's how you rebuild. People are very impatient, but they know what they're doing.

You're right. The reason My mind went to race is because when I thought about it I noticed the obvious similarity that both players are white and connected the situations to my personal experience, where nearly every time I saw a white guy outperform a black guy the black guys' friends absolutely tore into him and made fun of him for it. As I said in the original post, it was partly in jest (winky face) and I was reading too much into it. I was just relating a common occurrence I have seen to the situation, I'm sorry if that offended anybody

Meanwhile Jason Richardson is being paid $6 million to play below average and sit out a year due to injury...

How did Moe look tonight? Was he attacking with the ball? Hitting jumpers? Or was he being opportunistic and getting put backs and making cuts like usual?

I like it when people say correct things so that I don't have to bother typing them out.

He honestly did a little bit of everything tonight. Played within himself for most of the game and was really aggressive when necessary. His improvement from game to game has been awesome to see.

Indeed. It is also why JJ Redick HAD to be traded. You can't committ the 6-8 million a year he is going to get for four more years or so when you're rebuilding. Especially when we are already giving Jameer that kind of money. This is the stage of rebuilding where you want young and cheap players, it is why we had to let fan favorites and quality players like Anderson and Redick go.

Had to keep up with this game on twitter. Heard good things about Moe. Glad to see him coming into his own. The Legend of Moe Harkless continues...

Yes, he was very good. I like Nick and all, but commentary is not his talent. I hope Tony helps out more in that area.

I love Nick, but I cringe every time he's on TV.

Another good loss. Team plays together and scappy, and coach makes sure an L goes up.

Harkless is going to be a star in this league in four years time.

All race issues aside. According to my wife and daughters JJ was the best looking guy on the team. That is why they are pissed that he is gone.

I know it's about the young guys, but some of my favorite scenes from last night were of either AA or Harrington cheering/prodding/encouraging on the young guys. AA especially showed some real passion, I'm glad I'm a fan of this team, starts from the top down.

AA is getting better at the leader stuff... Earlier in the season he wasn't handling losses well at all. Kind of just depressed in interviews and talked about what needs to change. Lately, he's still disappointed in losses, but he's finally starting to point out positives in losses and make encouraging comments about the younger guys.
“I will never enjoy losing, period,” shooting guard Arron Afflalo said. “But I do enjoy growing, and tonight I felt like the seven guys, and even Al and his communication and Jameer [Nelson] being around, we grew tonight.”
