Dwight Howard:

In case you were wondering, Dwight Howard is still insufferable when it comes to talking about himself.
In a fawning interview with Los Angeles’ local CBS station KCAL, Dwight Howard defends himself as a “coach killer,” an interesting decision considering both his former coach and team have gone on record to point out that Dwight Howard asked for coach Stan Van Gundy to be fired before and during the 2011-12 season. It’s probably true that Howard didn’t ask for Van Gundy to be killed, literally, so I suppose Dwight still has that to cling to.
That’s not even the worst of it. There’s this choice quote, as well:
"My team in Orlando was a team full of people that nobody wanted."

That's pretty funny because Toronto and PHX and Portland all wanted Turk. HE HIMSELF wanted Gilbert and BBD. JJ was the most sought out trade bait this deadline. Gortat was one of the best valued centers in the league. Ryno got a $9mil/yr deal. Jameer is also said to be desired by a few contenders around the league.

What is REALLY stupid is his timing for this conversation less than a week before he comes back to Orlando. I would put a copy of the article in the player's lockers as fuel for next week's game. I can only imagine what Jameer thinks of his former best buddy...talk about classless.

Dwight makes himself look even more like a jackass with his comments today.

We will be hearing a lot from him leading up to his return to Orlando a week from now.

I wish he would just shut the hell up and keep to himself, if there was ever a player to wish injury on he would be right at the top, especially if it was against us at home!

Well lets see:

Hedo- Wanted (Raptors)
Lee- Wanted (Nets)
Gortat- Wanted (Suns)
JJ- Wanted (Bulls)
Ryno- Wanted (Hornets)

Dwight is a joke & if he keeps this up he will be the unwanted & stuck on a team with no prayer of winning a title.

lulz... is he gonna go T-mac on us wherein his teammates were all supposedly "scrubs" ( in fairness in tmac's time, they were all scrubs )

We won 50+ games year after year, were in 3rd in the East before he went down, and never worried about missing the playoffs.

Now he has Kobe, Nash, and Gasol and is scrapping to be .500. Yeah, those teammates and that coach he had last year were turrible...

For a supposed devoted christian Dwight's lack of integrity is amusing.

Funny Story: I'm a big Pietrus fan and met him a few times. My Mother and I actually got to become semi-acquainted with him. I brought a Pietrus finals shirt to get him to sign after a game. While waiting for Pietrus came out, Dwight came out and signed everything. Including my Pietrus shirt and the guy next to me's sneakers he got from JJ Redick. I guess he figured we were all there for him. I didn't care then but a signed Pietrus Finals t shirt is great memoribillia. A Pietrus and Dwight signed Pietrus finals t shirt though.. Smh. I need to get around to bleaching his signature.

The more i hear Howard's name, the more I wish we traded him sooner.

Even 2 1/2 magical beans would have been worth it to me. Why 2 1/2? 3 would have been an unfair trade for the other team.

This Lakers season gets more and more interesting: Dwight Howard says Phil Jackson has been texting him words of support about his back

He just got done saying he's not a coach killer, yet he may just get another coach fired this summer... . Going to be awesome if he leaves LA... he will get destroyed by the media for the rest of his career.

Lets be real here; he's right.

If he wasn't, Otis Smith wouldn't illicit such hate on this board (in fact, he would probably still be employed).

Who was Dwight's best player over the years? Jameer? Turk? Lewis?

The roster that was assembled would not make the playoffs without him.

Having said all that, he should just really keep his mouth shut and focus on his team this season. He's coming off looking like a clown.
