JJ redick with 12 points in 12 minutes to open the Clippers' season. Good for him, and he got the start.


Also see that Osby is being courted by a number of nice teams, likely going to Boston though the Spurs, Thunder, Nets, and Warriors all want him.

Lakers' bench all in double digits tonight in the win over the Clippers. Xavier Henry for 22 off the bench in limited minutes. Gasol looks rejuvenated.

Clippers should be ashamed for letting the Lakers bench players destroy them.

Bynum will supposedly play tonight... Watch him put up all star numbers until January when his contract becomes guaranteed for the year... and then he sits for the remainder of the season with swollen knees.

Dwight with 17 boards in the first half of Houston's debut.

Jazz are going to surprise A LOT of people. No way they're worse than us.

It's only 1 game but you don't do what MCW did if you aren't an above average basketball player.

Damn... Dwight and Asik combined for 40 boards. To give you perspective, the Magic collected 40 defensive rebounds tonight in a game that went to OT.

A look around the league in night 2 of NBA action:

-Michael Carter Williams' record rookie debut. 22 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists, and 9 steals, a stat line dropped only twice in NBA history for ANY player. 76ers upset the Heat to start 1-0. Still possible they go 1-81.

-Monta Ellis had a strong debut in Dallas registering 32 points and 8 assists in a win over the Hawks. Shroeder with a modest 5/5/4 in 18 minutes.

-Jrue Holiday and Eric Gordon combined for 49 points and 9 assists in a loss to the Pacers. Anthony Davis with a double double and 3 blocks.

-Dwight Howard dropped 17 points and 27 rebounds in his debut for the Rockets. McBob led the Bobcats to a loss. Zeller unimpressive in his debut with just 2 points and 4 boards.

-Trevor Ariza with 28 and 10 and Beal shot 33% from the field in a loss to Detroit. Monroe finishes with 24 and 16.

-Earl Clark started for the Cavs and nearly had a double double. Anthony Bennet with 2 points and 5 boards in 15 minutes of action. Bynum with 3/3 in his debut in 8 minutes of limited action.

-Lillard and Aldridge combine for 60 points but no one else does much in a loss to the Suns. Bledsoe finished with 22/7/6.

-The Kings hold off the Nuggets and get the win behind a nice game from Cousins with 30 and 14. McLemore cold from the field in 17 minutes with just 4 points.

-Depsite a nice evening from Afflalo (28 points) and Vucevic (22/16), the Orlando Magic lose to the Timberwolves in OT to hold sole possession of the worst record in the league. Oladipo finishes with 14/4/6 in JV minutes.

McLemore got 4 points 1 rebound on 1/7 shooting in 16 minutes.

Phx and Philly both not understanding how to tank, winning their openers. Alex Len with 2/2 in 8 minutes.

Lakers dismantled by Golden State.
