Noah Vonleh

Post#1 » by majortom71 » Thu Jul 2, 2015 3:46 am

Anyone think he can grow to a good player? He had a quiet rookie season due to Hornets trying to make the playoffs and they barely played him. Towards season's end he did have a few good double double games.
He has the PF body and if he develops he can be great off the bench. He's with Portland now so I'm not sure how they will use him or how much time on the court he'll see. I guess with LMA leaving he may be given additional playing time.
I think he can be a good back up 4/5 type of player once he develops.
Do you guys think it would be worth trading for him? If so who would you give up?

i'd rather try Myers leonard maybe he can play some 4, actually showed he can shoot a bit and i believe he's a 90% free throw shooter?

He'll be expensive to acquire in a trade, similar value to our own Aaron Gordon for example.

We had our chance in 2014. There are better trade targets. Anything but Frye.

there are alot of guys that are his size and can shoot but his lack of bbiq is what is concerning. For that reason I'd like to see if Gordon can develop into this player we need.

imo, he is much more of a project than Gordon. He may develop that shot, but his defense is nothing to write home about. He was quiet because he still isnt good. he really should have staying in college another year or 2.

If we trade for Vonleh, might as well trade for Derrick Williams and Anthony Bennet.

Michael Jordan probably crushed his spirit and he's now damaged goods.

As far as former I.U. players, I'd rather have Cody Zellar.

Damn, you guys are being hard. I think he can grow into a decent player if given the right opportunity.
I bring him up because I think Magic should look into getting some players within the last 2-3 drafts at the 4 position that are low value but have potential to be good.

Isn't Vonleh a little slow footed?

Give me Myers Leonard all day- great hair, we need more great hair on this team.

Blazers will probably rebuild with him if LMA leaves. They would at least see what he's capable of next season, which the Hornets didn't even bother doing.
