Orlando Magic 2K16

Post#1 » by ogmagicfan » Thu Aug 13, 2015 6:49 pm

Have ya'll thought about how fun it will be to play with the Magic on 2K16?

We have a trio of high-flyers in Oladipo, Gordon, and Hezonja. We finally have an assortment of good 3 point shooters pretty much all off the bench.

Playing with Payton really sucks because some of the impact he has on the court is hard to quantify on attributes and of course his jumper is dreadful to say the least.

My biggest pet peeve on 2K with the Magic is easily how ridiculously slow they make Harris. Harris is honestly pretty quick/shifty and they make him run like an old man and his jump shot looks really awkward.

Hopefully 2K makes one of our players one of those "cheat" players. A player who is way easier to play with/better than what their rating considers them. I think it's probably gonna be between Oladipo or Hezonja for that. Usually a guard.

What do ya'll think the ratings will/should be for our players to start the season?

I'll be camping @ Redbox for this
The future is bright 8-) Payton said. ``I just want to keep getting better and maybe one day I can be the all-time all assists leader for the Magic.’’

Oladipo was actually already that player in 2K15. He's literally a better Wade in the game. He's faster, more athletic, and has more stamina. He can dunk on anyone too. He was a lot of fun to use in the game.

Is this actual or your estimate? No way Nicholson is worst player on our team.

I expect Vuc to be our best, followed by Oladipo and Harris closely. Fournier/Gordon will be ****, maybe Payton gets thrown a bone.

Von Wafer was the best 2k player the Magic ever had, no lie. That dude was a cheat code.

This is what I think. Due to Nicholson not playing much the last 2 years, combined with him being on one of the worst teams, I can see him being rated that low. He should probably be a 69-71 but someone always gets the shaft. JJ and Ryno got it for YEARS.

I don't play 2K. What would an all star be? 90? Superstar 95+? Solid starter 80+?

It varries from year to year

Last year had only a handful of 90+ players

And a solid starter (Trevor Ariiza) was a 77

So above 90 is superstars (lebron, durrant)
Mid 80's and up are stars (love, melo)
Mid 70's to low 80s are starters (Ariza, parsons)

Low 70s are role players
60's for scrubs

Olidipo 84
Vuc 81
Harris 82
Payton 78
Hezonja 78
Gordon 78

Magic will be lucky is anyone besides olidipo is over a 80
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Vuc was 85 at the end of last season so I seriously doubt he drops at all, especially by 4 points. They'll overrate Oladipo again, but he won't be above vuc.

Superstars are 90+
All stars are 84+ (usually, though you can manufacture an all star season rather easily by a scrub who has a high shot tendency)
Starters are 77+
Role players are 72+
End of the bench guys are everything below 72.

Overrate Oladipo? The guy was averaging about 20/4/4 after the All-Star break and was only rated 81-82... If anything, he was UNDERrated.

Run a season strictly simulating and tell me what percentages he shoots and how many 3s he makes... You'd think he was a splash brother...

It's been a few years since I picked up an NBA video game. Might have to this year. :)

Oladipo's 3's is probably the only thing they overrate.

I'm currently trying to finish my 2k15 Magic GM Season. Play on all star level. Sitting 25-17.

Tobias I'm really enjoying and finally they fixed Nik Vuc's rebounding as 2k14 he was almost non existent on the boards. Got Tobias averaging 21ppg and Vuc leads the lg with 13.9 boards a game.

I actually run my starting 5 as:
Oladipo
Fournier
Tobias
KoQ
Vuc

Really enjoying AG and Frid coming off the pine. Having Ben Gordon off the pine is handy too can shoot the lights out from downtown with him. Mo Hark (Gonna miss him :( ) is solid in 2k games as a bench player.

My online quick game record is like 850-250 playing strictly with the magic. Love beating the cavs warriors Houston etc haha. This is on the Aus servers. Only ever come across a couple of people that have wanted to choose the magic. Starting lineup of elf bgordon agordon Harris vuc is deadly. Sit bgordon and Harris in the corners and play pick and roll with elf and aaron.
