Skiles is very specific and will play the guys who deserve to play. Tobias didn't play in Milwaukee for a reason and it had to do with his defense imo.

Well I was trying to add to toolers comment about Skiles comment as to why Tobias couldn't stay on the floor but I failed to properly. I think he'll do fine under Skiles this time around, although I wonder who the player was that had the defensive breakdown.

The last spec thread didn't get locked until it was 50 pages overdue, so you might be waiting a while. You know the regular mods have checked out (not that I blame them) when HowardMass is locking up threads.

I hate getting meta but I don't think we need another offseason speculation thread. There is a preseason one now. Then there can be a regular season one.

It's not really a speculation thread. Kind of more of a random thought thread. If something specific ever needs speculation we make a thread for it.

This speculation thread is getting old. Debris of the Dwightmare era.

What's weird about this forum (and perhaps sports forums in general) is that people have the same arguments in different threads, so you'd think a megathread would work, but then people post interesting and unique analysis to the megathread where it's immediately buried.

The only solution I can come up with is aggressive moderation to cut and paste tangent discussions into threads that are dedicated to it, like 2014-2015 lineup discussion, etc. But that's very laborious for the moderators.

Well, tbh, everything was great until the speculation thread series happened.

It was fun during the CP3 to Orlando discussion, but after that and Dwightmare it got kinda stale.

yeah I haven't been much of a fan of the speculation threads as they get to long and I have a tough time keeping up. Then someone posts something and then they get told it was already discussed in the speculation thread. I think we should divide em up better or just rely on created threads for specific topics as one thread is tough to go through especially for some that can't stay online all the time to keep up with big stories or times of the season where a lot of people get interested and start posting stuff like draft time or free agency or during the season. Maybe something like a draft thread, a free agent and trade thread, a Magic player and coaches thread, a game thread, and a general NBA thread) and so on but keep em stickied as some want to talk draft all year round or whatever. But these huge threads get all the traffic from some and then everything else gets ignored especially during slow times like now. Also you don't have to go through so much stuff you don't really want to go through. Like when someone posted a thread about 2016 draft canidtaes and you get some people that post stuff like I am not thinking at all about the draft right now. But yeah I would support some more division of the stickied threads to where specific topics and can be avoided or focused on depending on the person.

I say lock it up, throw away the key. The end of the spec thread is upon us.
