It's a town of about 11,000 people on the Rio Grande River, which is also, of course, the border with Mexico. Houston's D-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, call Hidalgo home.
"I'm sure there will be a lot of people there because of the Rockets, not because of us," Skiles said. "We'll just focus on the game and try to improve."

It was in the out-the-way town of Hidalgo, Texas, where Watson started playing in the NBA’s Development League and laid the groundwork for a career that has spanned nine years and five NBA teams. Watson, now 31 and a valuable reserve guard for the Orlando Magic, admitted that just walking into arena in Hidalgo will be a downright surreal feeling.
``It’s kind of weird, but it’s also destiny, I guess,’’ said Watson, whose Magic (1-2) face the Houston Rockets (1-1) in a neutral site game at State Farm Arena. ``I haven’t been there in like 10 years. There are definitely memories there, and maybe there are still some people who work there, so we’ll see how it goes.’’

Nothing puts a smile on my face like the social media battle between Fournier and Vucevic.
I wish I hadn't known this game was on NBA TV. I would've been perfectly content with a stream. Now it just feels ridiculous since FSFL isn't televising anyway. Why can't someone grow a pair and un-blackout the game?

i guess i really don't understand the blackout rules. the game is in texas, but it's blacked out in orlando. how does that make sense?

It's probably some BS contract thing with FSN and the rights they hold for the Orlando area. Which if that case, makes the fact that they are not broadcasting the game even more annoying.

How did you get in? I was going to pay and become a paid member a few days ago and all their web pages say something like "only for existing members". Mind you, I do have an account and its active. I just can't pay them for access to the games.
