This is what we all wish Oladipo would become, but we all know he will not. Oladipo = biggest mistake of our rebuild so far.

Yeah, if only we took him instead of Oladipo. We'd be in such a better spot with an inferior player at his position.

Damn, the Blazers are letting him chuck away in preseason.. 21 fga per game over the last 3. He and Lillard combined for 50 fga in this game... Dipo hasn't even reached 50 fga over 6 games lol.

Whoa, he was the 10th pick? Never noticed that before. I thought he was some random promising but limited late first round pick.

I'm assuming you are bored and trolling, buuut.... if on the off chance you are serious, just go look at this link:
http://stats.nba.com/vs/#!/?PlayerID=203468&VsPlayerID=203506.
Edit: As a note, Victor also destroys CJ in per 36. So...

Oladipo per36 in preseason 17.2 pts on 11.6 fga... would be awesome if he could maintain that level of efficiency. Skiles seems to have him pounding the rock less, so we should probably expect some kind of increase in fg% this season.

How did you come to the conclusion that Oladipo "destroys" CJ in per36? I don't see what you're seeing.
I didn't watch much of C.J. last season, but I'm willing to bet that he mostly played with the bench and crappy players. There are also other factors such as CJ having a much bigger transition from college to NBA, limited opportunity due to good-great players like Lillard and Matthew.
Do you really think Oladipo would have the standing he has on this board today if he was behind Lillard and Matthews? Answer: resounding no.

Yeah, at least that's topical. This is a long time to sit on a 2013 re-draft post.

Same here.
This thread should be about Bobby Portis though. He could have solved everything at the PF spot for us on a rookie deal and he was selected late in the first round.

I reckon they're giving CJ catch up time, since he was stuck on the bench the past 2 seasons.
Oladipo had loads of
big shooting games last year. Two 24 and 25 attempt games back to back. 11 games where he took 20 or more shots, and his fg% was more often than not sub 40% in those games.
Dipo got his shot, now CJ is getting his, and he looks like he's doing a great job rising to the occasion.
I'm just happy Dipo's efficiency is up this year.

It's impossible to make a claim like this when you're backing a guy who's stuck on the bench, cos most fans are just gonna point to the guy with more opportunity and, consequently, bigger numbers.
I'd always hoped we could have traded AA for a later pick to draft CJ that year. You could tell he had the chops to be a gun scorer.

I remember those two games... he scored 32 and 38 points

It's kind of early to be drinking.
But hey, you could start a thread on the PC board or the General Board asking who is the better player now and in the future if you think we're just a bunch of homers.
