“Any charge really gets everybody going,” center Nik Vucevic said. “Those don’t happen very often, and when somebody takes one and sacrifices himself for the team, it gets everybody going. Guys get really fired up about it, and the one that C.J. took was a tough one for him, but it helped us a lot.”
Watson received five stitches in his lip, but his sacrifice also helped produce the Magic’s first win of the season.

A key stat tonight: corner 3s. Rockets are tied for @NBA lead in corner 3s attempts per game (8.8). Magic are 8th (7.3/game).
``I just know that I did a lot of great things for the city by putting my heart out there every single night and I put my body on the line to help the city and the team grow,’’ Howard said. ``But things happen. But I like what they are doing down there now and I really think (General Manager) Rob (Hennigan) is doing a great job.’’
``They’ve got a lot of young guys now who can really play the game and they’re only going to get better. I’m happy for them that they’re coming back,’’ Howard said following the Rockets’ morning shoot-around practice on Wednesday. ``Young guys like Vucevic, (Victor) Oladipo, Fournier – they’ve got a lot of guys who can really basketball. It’s nice to see them coming back.’’

Great thread man! I take it you are doing all the game threads this season? If so, keep up the good work.
As for this game, have to guard the perimeter very well especially those corner 3s that the Rockets love to take. Take care of the basketball and dominate the boards and we'll get ourselves a good win...LET'S GET IT!!!

I'm gonna miss this game actually since I play in a B-ball league on Wednesdays but I'm gonna watch when I get home. Hopefully this thread will be calm but I doubt it lol.

I've just been doing them all up to this point because nobody else has. I like doing some, just not too many in a row.
Hopefully others will get involved and we don't just have boring emergency threads. As usual, anybody is free to make one as early as the night before. No signup, just make one if you feel like it.

You know, I was really pissed at Dwight for everything he caused here. I was really happy to watch him fail in LA, and I would have been annoyed to watch him get to The Finals with Houston, but I think I'm over it. I'd actually like him to come back somehow while he still has something in the tank and maybe propel us to that championship level ala Lebron's return to Cleveland.

Also, we foul a lot and we're against Harden so that should be fun.
