My Drunk Rant...

I lived in Orlando from 1984 - 1999

I was a raver and all that jazz with Firestone, JJ Whispers, The Edge, etc. I friggin' loved Orlando. I had to move because of my job. I have been wanting to get back to Orlando. The city has grown so much since when I lived there. It truly is the City Beautiful. I think about living in Orlando all the time. It's my true home. I know where everything is at.. I know all of the roads.. I know everything about Orlando and it is truly a city I love.

I went to school at FSU... Went to HS in Seminole County... I have lived in Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami, Nashville, Dallas, Tampa, Memphis, etc etc etc.

But right now with my business, I'm stuck. I want to get back to Orlando.

I friggin' love the Magic. I used to have season tickets for 10+ years. I went to the first game ever at the old O-Rena. I still remember the black and white checkerboard floors. My wife was a Magic Dancer back in the day.

Orlando is a very special city. it's becoming a MAJOR US city.

All the new buildings in downtown.. It's the best place I have ever lived.

The MAGIC are the only thing I have left of the city I love.

I am so happy that now I cannot wait to watch the Magic play every game. I have not had this feeling in 3 years. Like Otis Smith said.. "I LIKE THIS TEAM" - I'm thankful that I get FOX Florida
we are going to be dangerous sooner than later.... LET'S GO MAGIC! VEGAS HATES us right now.Every line that they have given us has FAILED.

Man.. I miss Orlando. I miss my home but I love my Orlando Magic. I just feel we are going to be very good soon. Skiles was a damn perfect hire in my opinion.

what bothers me is that I go to Orlandosentinel.com and do not see a single thing on the homepage about the Magic unless I scroll down to the bottom

Take it with a pinch of salt, but the media always need more convincing that the Magic are serious about becoming a playoff team rather than just stepping out on faith in this third year of recovery.

As an ex-pat from Orlando, I also really want to go to a game (the London game is getting crazy expensive, so that's out).

Nice 'rant', man.

I lived in Orlando from '85-'03. Many, many amazing memories. Good bit of my heart belongs to the city, particularly the team. I don't really long to live there again (love the city I'm in now), but that's likely because I still get my fix going down there to see family who still lives in the area, going to Disney, games, etc.

Fondest of all memories was going to Magic games with my grandfather. Would go out to eat at Ronnie's on Colonial and then over to the Orena where he had a knack for parking his Lincoln Continental in the shadiest of all Parramore front lawns. We'd watch the game, he'd call a bunch of our players bums (decorated WWII vets can justifiably do such a thing) and then we'd leave 5 mins early, regardless of how close it was. Ahhhh...thanks for the trip down memory lane man ;)

I would not consider Orlando the city beautiful. Lived in Orlando from 92-14 and love the Magic but just relocated to Denver. There are much nicer cities, but I can understand if you miss the Magic.
