V.S.

(projected lineups)

John Denton
.@OrlandoMagic C @NikolaVucevic & PF @JasonSmith014 didn't practice today and their statuses for Wed game vs. @Lakers up in the air.

Kobe Bryant said he decided this afternoon he wasn’t going to play tonight (vs Heat), said he had trouble walking, said it was his back. Kobe says he’s not concerned, says it’s soreness, something he can knock out with rest & treatment. We’ll see about tomorrow (vs Magic).
Nick Young has never assisted Kobe Bryant in three seasons with the Lakers
Bill Simmons
Orlando is this year's NBA League Pass surprise - it's impossible for them to play a non-entertaining game. I love watching them.
Oladipo currently leads all guards in rebounds with 7.5 per game.
Oladipo is 15/41 (36.6%) on layups so far this season.
``We can’t look to get bailed out from the refs because they’re not calling it no matter what,’’ Oladipo said. ``So we’ve just got to go and finish them.’’
Tobias Harris:
``Even myself, I have to make those baskets. I had a lot of easy ones around the basket (on Monday) and it’s just about me finishing. As a team, we have to finish those shots as well.’’
We need to work on our finishing and finishing through contact,’’ said point guard Elfrid Payton.
``I don’t mean to make it sound like our guys are unskilled or anything, but finishing at the rim is a skill. Some players have that skill and some don’t,’’ Skiles said. ``We have evidence of guys who couldn’t finish early in their careers and then became good finishers and then there are guys like Tony Parker who finished no matter what. And there are guys who don’t (improve).
``So guys can get better at it,’’ Skiles continued. ``When you drive in there in a half-court type of setting when it’s not transition, there’s a lot of stuff to process very quickly: Big people are coming; you’ve got to look for your teammates; you’ve got to keep your eye on the rim; Should I shoot a floater or should I dunk? Am I going to get contact? Is it going to be a reverse layup? Right hand or left hand? So there’s so many things that are just a feel. And we’re missing some where we’re dropping off to teammates and we’re trying to power it up. We’ve missed too many of those as well.’’
John Denton
.@OrlandoMagic coach Scott Skiles showed team 100 cut-up clips from Mon's loss to @Pacers. He's upset by lack of ball movement & bad passes.

LA ranks 28th in opposing points in the paint, 21st in opposing fastbreak points, 25th in opposing points off turnovers, and 30th in opposing 2nd chance points,. They're also 26th in opponent free throw attempts, 26th in opponent assists, 30th in opponent turnovers and 28th in opponent rebounds.

Tyler Harvey scored 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting in Erie BayHawk's sole preseason game on Sunday.

I think I might cry if we lose to the Lakers. Especially at home. Like I'm not even being Sarcastic . This is an anxiety attack waiting to happen.
We do have Randle and Russell's Kryptonite in Payton and Gordon though so who knows.

This should be a win...

Watch old man Koke go off and drop a 40 bomb on us. Just because. Joking aside, we have the match ups in our favor and should be able to pick up a W against them.

I read a tweet last night saying Kobe wouldn't play tonight.
This is a must win game and that worries me.

Just win. We need to start making our home court a tough place to play in. In the last 3 years teams come to our court and they are too comfortable. We need to make them uncomfortable and ultimately win.

Need a win, and I think we'll get it. The Lakers are terrible. Only way they win is if Kobe has his first great night of the season (and hopefully he's out).
Could see Smith returning tonight, betting Vucevic sits and maybe comes back Friday.

I'd really like to see this team learn how to win a game by 15+ points. don't let these guys hang around.

The way Kobe's been playing this season, I hope he does play, and I hope he's heavily featured.

Going to the game tonight and hoping Kobe's back loosens up enough for him to play. Like him or not, he's an all time great and I'd like to see him play one more time.
