Southeast Division has 2nd highest win %

Our division has the 2nd highest winning percentage in the NBA, next to the Central division. Looks like the East really is coming up and we are currently tied for 9th in the East, with the next game VS Boston, we could be inching closer early in the season. While we are still figuring out which lineups are the best, I think we are starting to come together more as a team. Hopefully we can continue this trend moving forward. And off topic, hopefully AG makes it into the Dunk Contest!

No Evan for that game, out with a sore hip. I will make winning more challenging.

Is it confirmed that Evan is not playing? If so Hezonja could get a shot

Yea it sucks that the East is getting it together at the same time we are starting to rise. .500 would put us easily in the playoffs last couple of seasons. But at least we can say we are part of the east being more dangerous this season.

Wonder if Mario will start and Dipo will still come off the bench with Evan out?

I hope so, but can you see Skiles inserting a rookie who hasn't played many minutes into the starting line-up?

Probably not... but hopefully he will get at least 20-30 mins, would be great to see what he does with that.

Scott Skiles announced at practice there's a chance Evan Fournier won't play tomorrow vs. #Celtics due to a sore hip. #Magic

Hezonja has to start (IMO)...

Fits what Skiles wants and what the starting line-up needs.

If Evan doesnt play, then Oladipo will probably start. Maybe this will spark him and be post all star for the first time as a starter this year. Mario will most likely come off the bench with AG and Nicholson.

Nicholson has really impressed me this year. Staying ready and playing smart ball. He even has been hitting the 3 ball. He is shooting 41% from the arc. If he has a couple more of those games, Skiles might have to consider starting him over Frye who hate to admit has not been horrible this year.

In the last two wins, Payton was 16-24 and Oladipo was 12-27 (with 16 made FTs). Offense is back-on for the guards.

It's a game-time decision.

Yeah, I'm really happy to see the offensive improvement Dipo and Elf have made in the past couple games.. Consistency from them will be huge for us.

But those two have to be separated for most of the game. We tried that the first 14 games. They can play together, but not the majority of minutes. At least not until one of them becomes a knock down shooter and that is not going to happen anytime soon or ever.

This 5 game road trip will be very telling for the Magic. It will conclude by being past the 1/4 mark of the season. If we can come out of this 3-2 I'll be pretty happy, 4-1 I'd be ecstatic. Hardest games will be @LAC and @PHX. After the road trip, we play 8 of our next 10 at home, only @BK and @NY, with the only really tough-to-win game being at home vs the Cavs (directly after our west coast trip). December is a HUGE month for us.

I look forward to Marc Stein getting overly excited by putting us in the top 10 in his power rankings today, only for us to go on a losing streak.
