Figured there should be a thread on here as he decides to run the same lineups and play calling for the last two weeks.

Skiles looking a little rough in that pic. Did he spend the night in jail again?

I remember when we rehired Brian Hill, part of the spin on it was, "Coaches can learn and get better too." Yeah, because 50+ year old men are well known for their willingness to change and try new things.

Him and Monte Mathis probably had an all night drug binge and called the Manitowoc PD to cover their tracks.

Is that a freaking CRT TV?!

Btw, this is still a rebuilding year in the sense that we're not going for a lottery pick any longer, but we are "figuring things out" within the team.
And other teams are figuring us out now that we were winning games for awhile and we got some attention & respect from other coaches. So we're getting played tougher IMO.

Look we are in a bad stretch now but let's not put the blame all on Skiles. If you were to tell this board, that after 40 games we would be 20-20, everybody here would be celebrating tonight. We'll bounce back.

I agree, but Skiles has to see that and adjust accordingly. If he can do something as brazen as benching Oladipo after losing a bunch of close games (to good results), he has to address our starters absolutely **** the bed the last 2 weeks against any real team.

a common narrative in all sports. presidents and executives love to take the conservative known product rather than make a more risky move in their eyes that could make them look foolish. they also love people in their network no matter what their track record is or what is needed right now. it's about protecting their image/legacy and nepotism really. it's blatantly ridiculous when you look at on air football commentators

i dont mind the guy. i know he's only going to be here a few years and he will improve the product on the floor but his (expected) stubbornness is incredibly frustrating. i hope it doesn't cost us in the long run

I agree with what you are saying but we are not bouncing back. I was hoping 6-6 this month and we are already 1-7. February is a killer. We won't win 3 games in February if we continue this trend.

"So coach... would you ever consider bring Evan Fournier off the bench?"

"How about running some plays for Aaron Gordon?"

We're still at .500 we play Philly next which I'm praying we take the W. There's no way shape or form Vaughn would have had us at the record we have. This is a struggle a learning curve. Well get through it. We still have a lot of work to do and have a long way to go but this is improvement

Something is to be concerned
Not that one guy has bad shooting month, but most guys have it and most are low energy

Scott is doing a great job

Our guard are just not healthy, give hima break , we are a 50% team atm and it can only get better

our team is young and full of bad habit (thx to JV), you need to give scott more time

Skiles has done a fantastic job. He has transformed a team who was the worst team in the NBA over the last (3) years into a .500 ballclub with a bright future. Absolutely great coaching here. I am sure glad to have Skiles as the Magic coach.

Skiles will prove ya'll Wrong!!!!

He has the habit of saying something and doing completely opposite of it. Often to worse results. Other than that we are well above average of the league in terms of coaching.
