But can they beat the '95 Bulls?

I know Memphis has been trying to play small more but at the end of the day, they are still a grind it out, physical type of ball club that attempt to beat teams in the half court and play sound defense. Hopefully this is the game we finally decide to push the pace but who really knows with Skiles and his game plan? I just want to see our starting lineup continue to gain more chemistry together and Skiles reel in that bench much better (if Fournier isn't playing well, you can sit him on the bench Scott; it's okay you know).

This is a very tough matchup because of the Physicality and Defense that Memphis has. Now, whenever Conley is out of the game, Mario Chalmers comes in who is one of the best defensive PG's in the league with size and length. No chance for Napier to do well here and I hope Skiles recognizes that. Dipo would be the best bet to play some PG tonight. I also expect to see alot of Jason Smith to hold back Randolph. Best mismatches we need to take advantage of is Harris against Jeff Green and Dipo/Fournier against Lee. Gasol and Vooch should be about the same. Because, Vooch will prove many people here all wrong!!!!

I think the issue with Skiles game plan stems from our players not playing consistently. If your constantly trying to shift your line up because your players don't bring the same mentality every game I'd image it would be hard for him to stick to one. However I agree that Evan should be reined in a little more and that Mario should get an opportunity if Fournier is struggling.
I don't like this match up for us. If we're going to let opposing PG's waltz into the paint to where Vooch has to contest and our SF/SG are still not going to put a body on the opposing center then we're going to see a repeat of the Hornets game, only against a better club.

Thanks for getting this up so early! Go Magic! Ready to slowly wipe the bad taste of the last few games out of my mouth.
Game time is 8:00. (not 7:00)

Well Vooch doesn't have to prove anything. I also don't think we have an advantage in any Harris/Jeff Green match up Also Lee is a very good defender and it wouldn't surprise me to see Fournier to struggle a little. I'm betting on either Barnes or Green having big games tonight. Its extremely critical that our guards defend and keep their guards out of the paint.

Gasol usually owns Vuc. Hopefully we'll see him accept the challenge.

Corrected. Thx guys.
As for this game, the Magic can use a shot in the arm. Like it's been mention several times by certain players in the postgame comments, they have to do a better job getting on the same page. The guys have to get over the losing culture they endured from the last three seasons. Get over the fear of winning games and just play the damn game to their abilities. Don't force the issues, no selfishes, no hero ball, just relax and let the game come to you.
Although I have my misgivings with Skiles personality and narrow minded wise, he has helped turn the team around much better than Jock Itch ever did. I get that he has shuffled the lineup to get better results, I'll give him credit. I wish that Skiles learned a better sense of offensive creativity and do a better job having the players to play to their strengths and be willing to adapt better offensive sets to allow for some of the better players to gel in order for the chemistry, confidence and trust to achieve better results.
To beat a team like the Grizzlies, you have to play fast. We have the guns(maybe not like the Warriors), but we have the guns to out shoot the team with. If the Magic catch fire and stay with the effort, you're forcing the Grizz into an arms races. A notorious history they cannot compete with. The Grizzlies will slow the game down to their control and throw their opponents off their game. Classic manipulation tactics. They are veterans so they know the tricks of the trade. The Magic are young and quicker and need to exploit it with a purpose. The Grizzlies will come in mad as they lost to the Wolves over the weekend. Given that the Magic have lost 9 out of the last 10 games, it's possible that being arrogant could creep in their minds as already have you beat before the jumpball. Exploit it if you're the Magic, if not inexperience can become of the enemy of the Magic and could find themselves losing another game.
So win the damn game!!!
I will be watching in attendance.
Go Magic!!

Crazy Gasol is averaging 5.8 apg against Vuc and that is over 6 games.

A great pick me up game but the Grizz aren't push overs. We have to show we want it more then the Grizzlies.
On another note we are up against three of my favorite Ex Magic players.

Hopefully AG gets some much deserved time on the court and a few plays called for him. It would be perfect if Skiles could leave Napier on the bench and take out his lover boy Fournier if he is being useless again. Go Magic!!!!!

That too but Skiles had no excuse for not putting him in the game in the last 5 minutes or so.

Skiles doesn't trust AG yet. Part of me still thinks he only started AG because of pressure from the front office. Which is prolly why he wasn't in the game the last 5 min of Charlotte. It was Hennigan's input that forced Oladipo to come off the bench. Which makes sense the way I see it if your a defensive minded coach why wouldn't you want your top defensive player in the starting line up

I don't care if he trusts him or not. He said his job is to win and he needs to put in the guys who are playing the best. The age doesn't make any difference. If you are playing well you need to play and if aren't you need to sit your ass on the bench. Instead of doing that Skiles has been playing favorites all year long. It obviously isn't working because he hasn't done much better than that hack called Vaughn who was told to lose. The schedule has been very easy too and the record isn't good at all. He also isn't developing the young players. He needs to pull out his bald head out of his ass and start coaching this team and treat the players the way they deserve to be treated instead of having crazy double standards.
