Sorry to create a thread for this. I don't know if this was ever done before. Any other McGrady fans still in here?

I was typing about Tracy and his effect here in Orlando. Great scorer, underrated passer and defender. Any fans have a favorite memory about him? The 62-point video below happened when I was a junior in highschool. I remember watching this like it was yesterday.

I remember watching that game on TV, that was back when the Wiz had Arenas and Hughes backcourt. My brother was working the night shift back then and I remember calling him, that we just beat the Wizards & McGrady went off for 62 points.

I remember during a playoff game his first season here, he went on a stretch where he scored like 20 straight points for us.

Strange one this but for me it was watching him take over a game in the 02-03 season vs the Nets. The Nets were riding high at the time and this game was one of the first shown in the UK when we got one live game a week. I stayed an extra night in London to watch it in a sports bar. It was shortly after we acquired Gooden and Giricek. Fantastic player

This would be up there for me too if it weren't for how that series ended smh. That's kinda the rap on T-Mac's time in Orlando. So many great individual moments that left you in awe and depression at the same time because I always felt so bad for the guy. He was so much better than every one else on the team and a lot of his performances went to waste. He never had the luxury of playing with a legit #2 to propel his status into NBA lore.

Quality writing. But I remember watching that game, it was pretty memorable. He had another game that season where he was in an absolute zone and could have had a huge scoring number, but the game wound up being a blowout and he barely played the 2nd half. I think we were actually the ones winning, but maybe not, I don't remember.

Saw this over on Reddit. Kind of sad but also kind funny. Nice to see Tracy having a laugh about it. Still though, that original dunk was so nasty! Man, I miss prime T-Mac.

i remember tracy talked a lot of smack about the bucks and big dog robinson in the playoffs that year. would've been able to back it up if not for some bad 4th quarters in that series.

iirc, this was the series that gave him the reputation of being unreliable as a closer. at least, that's how i remember it as a t-mac fan boy in the early 2000s.

a real shame too since he did have stretches where he literally got whatever he wanted against milwaukee's defense in addition to pretty much taking robinson out of the series.

Can not explain with simple words how much i loved that 2002-2003 magic team,and T-mac in that moment.

I would add that is incredible how we have had an incredible bitter/sweet relationship with the top 3 players of our team history(non considering penny just for the injuries,indeed)

Tracy McGrady is my favorite Magic player of all time. Would not be the fan I am today if he did not keep me glued to the TV for 82 games. So many great and sad Tmac memories but this play brings it back for me;
