Pistons & Magic are progressing on deal that would send Tobias Harris to Detroit & Brandon Jennings/Ersan Ilyasova to Orlando, I'm told.

The potential for a Harris-for-Ilyasova/Jennings deal, first reported by @MikeAScotto, is very real, a league source said.

God no... I think we can do better Rob

As I said on the Trade Discussion Thread what about we take Reggie instead of Brandon? Something like:

Jackson/Ilyasova for Harris/Payton/Nicholson

thoughts? I don't really want to give away EP but...

This would be the first move that would actually make me angry. Hope Rob isn't being influenced.

Ilyasova is a crappier version of Frye why would we want this.

So this seems to confirm that Skiles was 100% behind this, considering he's coached Jennings and Ersan in the past.

Imminent might be a bit strong :D
Source says discussed, Amick says progressed and then likely.
Great deal forDetroit, thugh they already have Marcus, a similar tweener guy.

I don't mind the trade, it should make Skiles happy since it's his cronies, and as it is reported our main youth stays intact. If Jennings comes in I just hope that Elf stays and isn't part of another deal....

NEM where you at? Tobias is about to pack his bags

As of now, Detroit is not sending any picks -- or at least any 1sts -- to Orlando in the proposed Tobias Harris deal, sources say.

Honestly not a terrible trade for us. Both their salaries combined are for 16mil a year and Jennings is on his last year. Should free up some cap assuming we dont resign him.

I mean it's pretty fair trade , gives us a better threat from the point guard position and takes some pressure off of elf , and Harris hasn't really been giving us much lately

In 5 years some other dumbass team will hire skiles and he'll have a press conference saying he didn't want to trade tobias from the magic...

I would honestly rather just cut Harris than take back Ilyasova's contract.

I don't understand.

EDIT: Just realized I misread Ilyasova's contract details. I guess this is just a move to give us even more cap flexibility over the next two years? I would've though Harris' value was a little higher than that. Pretty disappointing.
