I'm really surprised another team claimed him. There's got to be a handful of D-League players that could easily outplay him. Dude can't even jump over a penny, his defense is nill and he wasn't making any three point shots (what he's supposedly good at). Hopefully he finds more success with Orlando the rest of the way.

The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder showed interest in Copeland during free agency, but he said Bucks coach Jason Kidd, an ex-Knicks teammate, played the biggest role in signing a one-year, $1.1 million contract with Milwaukee. “The biggest hook for me was Jason Kidd, by far,” Copeland said. “Obviously, he was a friend of mine before all this. He was a great mentor for me in New York and someone I continue to grow under. An incredible mind on and off the floor.”

Wait and see.
This does show me that there's absolutely no interest in Nicholson.

Yeah this signing was clearly for more depth at the SF/PF positions and someone to "kick the tires" on so to speak. He is not a "threat" to anyone except maybe one Andrew Nicholson who for sure will not be brought back here next season.

Orlando claimed Copeland using part of the $8.1m trade exception created from the Channing Frye trade.
