He was never meant to come in as a starter and always was supposed to be a good backup. I don't know why our coaches keep on doing this with "veterans" that are playing not on performance, but on "experience."
His is pure dog sh*t wheen shooting...cringe every single time he takes a jumper. Heck Payton looks more likely to make a jumpshot than him.
I'd just rather have Oladipo running the point.
Skiles stressses defense first. Wrong philosophy. It's only important as long as you can also put the ball in the back of the net. Our ball movement sucks.
Look at the good coaching in Boston and Portland. Too much isolation play with the players on our team. I like Jason Smith, but he sometimes tries to do too much. When he's off, he's off. Not sure why Nicholson is back in the dog house.
THis league thrives on 3pt shooting. It's time we get on the act too.
THe only one on our team that warrants isolation play is Vucevic...as he's a dominant low post scorer. F this half court **** dribbling the ball and shooting with 5 seconds left on the shot clock.

Not sure why you dont see that elf and jennings are hurt. Plus watsons oncourt +/- are typically some of the best on the team. Hes meant to be a calming presence but his individual stats arent jaw dropping. Hes also coming back from the worst calve strain that human anatomy has ever seen lets not forget about that.

Also, Willie Green is a legend around these parts putting up 9 points in the 4th alone to lead a 23 point comeback against Charlotte last year. I wouldn't throw his name around so lightly if I were you....

CJ is a quality point guard who knows how to make good decisions. Making good decisions(and playing sold defense) is more important to skiles as it should be. His shot is bad at the moment but he also hasn't played in a long time quite frankly. He needs to get his rhythm. Personally, I want him to begin to get better and play at a high level because I could very easily see him being traded this summer and you want him to have as much value is you can.
I don't disagree by the way about Oladipo. I would like to see him playing the point more often which I think will happen more over time. There's a lot of value of being able to play both positions.

I actually believe he should be starting on this team. He isn't particularly good, but he won't kill you. And he complements Vucevic and Fournier.
Payton needs players that let him push the ball up the floor. He looked good at ULL because he was aggressive in transition. We all saw how well he played down the stretch last year with Dedmon.

HA! Elf and Jennings are not hurt. These are the most bogus injuries ive ever seen. They are both in the doghouse for playing rubbish basketball. Its as simple as that.

In fairness to Skiles, our team was much more "fluid" running his plays to begin the season than they are now.
It must be the enthusiasm of these guys seem to have died down given and Skiles' demeanor as a coach is rubbing them off.
