Dear Magic fans:

I have stated my clear view that starting PF is Orlando's weakest slot and that Gordon will emerge as Orlando's SF. In that, GM Hennigan could well be looking at this draft with an eye on probable PFs that could be available at #11. There are some good ones to be available in the late lottery.

Domantas Sabonis: classic "slogging" big. Has good post skills but lacks athleticism. Rebounding might not be elite in NBA.
Skal Labissière: Weak and immature, but could project as a stretch-4 in today's NBA.
Deyonta Davis: nowhere near NBA ready makes him difficult to project. Reminds me of Noah Vonleh coming out of Indiana.
Brice Johnson: Projects as a solid NBA backup. No down side, but little upside.
Henry Ellenson: Another slogging big. These sorts will struggle in today's NBA.
Marquese Chriss: Fantastic athlete still learning to play NBA. Years off being a commodity and might be a D-leaguer until then.
Stephen Zimmerman: classic combo-big. Looks to be one of those "overlooked" guys, like Jason Smith.

Looking at this list, I think Orlando would select Skal Labissière at #11. He has physical tools that can be developed. He also could easily project as BPA at this slot.

My favorite is davis , i think his rebounding and shotblocking will translate directly to the NBA,also has great Potential in the midrange jumper and the hookshot
Zimmermann is an interesting player, 7footer who plays the 2 spots

Petr Cornelie - More athletic Channing Frye. Like many of the other stretch bigs he is a project though

Chriss could probably help instantly with defense and rebounding. I'd invest time into him to develop a shot.

#11 picks almost never help instantly, especially when added to a team that is already very young.

I am pretty sure we are going for the guy with the highest ceiling.

His jumper isn't the part of his game that needs to be developed a ton. It's actually his defense and rebounding that needs work. He averaged 7.5 reb/40 adj. and 5.7 pf/40 pace adjusted. Chriss has three NBA ready skills: Finishing in transition, shooting and weak side shot blocking. Everything else needs some major work.

It depends on what henny is looking for.
A big or a guard.
Davis or valentine.I also suppose henny has an eye on baldwin and labissiere

Most of those guys -- McDermott, McCollum, Adams, George, Drummond -- had marginal impacts as rookies. That's why it's best IMO to go for BPA instead of for need: even the good players usually take years before they are useful.

these guys are not better than Gordon.
