As a new poster I sometimes go through the archives to see who the main trash talkers for our team were back in the day. It's also nice to see who has stayed the course on RealGM through the tough times and troll threads.

Lue actually was on the team. He was acquired prior to Alston from the Bucks for Keith Bogans.

Jameer is still on a team, so you can't just say he's gone lol.
Fun team, but didn't last too long since we moved a lot of pieces besides Dwight/Nelson/Lewis.

Well kiss my grits. I stand corrected.

I loved that team primarily because WE knew how good we were and everyone else discounted us from the jump. I knew we had a real chance to beat Cleveland and we did. I thought we had a real chance to beta the Lakers. I'll always remember Gasol's game 1 uncalled goaltend, which could have changed the outcome

I still believe we'd win that series if Jameer didn't try to come back. He was not ready. At all.

Nobody gave us a chance. Nobody saw us play leading up to the series because they couldn't see anything with their heads up Lebron's ass. Only Charles Barkley picked us to win, and he got torn up for it.
Without Lebron's buzzer beater in game 2, Orlando would of swept their ass. That series win was so damn satisfying.

I've always been on the fence about that. Clearly in hindsight we shouldn't have brought him back but at the time we needed all hands on deck to try to beat that Lakers team. Jameer was an all star that year if Im not mistaken. If your all star pg says hes ready to go how can you tell him no? But it was a great year. I sometimes go on youtube and watch some of those moments in that run. That Hedo shot vs Philly always puts a smile on my face.

I miss the winning. I am not so sure that team would have done much though. Once Lebron and Wade formed the superteam it changed everything and i don't think if we would have kept that team we would have won, seeing what everyone has become since then. Maybe Stan would have found some creative way to make the team work or we would have had some good free agents.

Same here, when it was rumored he may return, my first thought was no don't risk the injury. I was against it and Alston pouted about it. I think we win that series too.
