Thon Maker- an athletic 7 footer who can run the floor and blocks shots. A perfect back up for Vuc with enough potential to perhaps one day replace him in the starting lineup. The remaining big with the most upside. He and Labissiere both have their doubters but of the two, maker is definitely the more mysterious. With what is hopefully the Magics last time in the lottery for awhile, expect them to swing for the fences for their Superstar of the future, which is still up for grabs within their young confident core.

****, knew Toronto would take Chriss smh. I'd take a flyer on Thon Maker's upside I guess.

Based on the early interest in Maker, I've tinkered with the options. Please check to confirm your vote and revote if necessary.

Sabonis, Poeltl, and Ellenson all available in this mock. A lot of height is on offer.

Thon Maker is projected as a 2nd rounder or a very late first and Magic fans want to select him in the lottery. Geez

I go with Jakob poeltl.
Very Mobile,7f1 center who runs the floor, very good Post Defender and PnR Defender, rebounds and blocks shots, can score in the Post.
We need depth at pf/c.
I think he can contribute from day 1.

Some of us prefer to study the draft and make decisions based on our own assessments of all the prospects than just submit to the "mocks." It's that laziness with approaching the draft that lead to guys like Rudy Gobert, Myles Turner, Giannis Antentekounpo, and CJ McCollum being passed up cuz "mocks!"

Skal, but honestly none of the above. I want Davis or Chriss and both are gone.

Oh man, I've probably put maybe two hours total into studying this draft. I'll most likely wait and see who Henny drafts then read up on him.

You really think gm's are drafting based off mocks.

If Jakob is available, it's a no brainer. We need a rebounder and he does that well on both sides of the floor. None of the others can do so. However, I highly doubt he's on board when we pick in the real draft.

Poetl, Baldwin, and Luwawu are BPA here IMO. Id be pretty happy with those three guys, Skal, and Ellenson on the board when we pick. Still want Chriss though

Yes i think poeltl could make an immediate Impact.he also the style Coach Vogel wants to Play.Defense and Running the Floor.
But if poeltl is Off board when we pick either Chriss or davis will be available.
Or henny surprises us with another player.
Cheick diallo or zhou qi

Also, projections arent everything. Read this about a former prospect that many on this board would of begged for last season:
"One of those great college basketball players that doesn't excel in any one particular area ... Tweener, undersized for a physical forward yet lacks the athleticism of a wing ... Lacks explosiveness, agility, elusiveness and quickness off the bounce ... Under the rim finisher, which is troublesome when you consider his size ... Not a threat to shake his defender off the dribble ... Minimal upside ... Vulnerable defending quicker guards on the perimeter ... Could stand to drop some weight ..."
Know who that is? Draymond Green.
These projections arent everything. Expect his stock to rise the closer we approach the draft.

I am a touch surprised that there is not more interest in Sabonis. I do not think he would be available at #11.

I think it's apparent some GM's are lazy and don't put the work into the draft to make an educated pick and end up going with a pick by consensus.
