Is he good?

After some research, the elbow issue seems to be a matter of him not being able to fully extend his right elbow. He supposedly takes shots with his left hand (which is his primary hand, at least) that would normally be taken with the right hand due to being uncomfortable with extending that elbow. Now, what does "uncomfortable" mean in that context? Is it physically uncomfortable, or has he simply shied away from it and thus doesn't have any kind of feel for attempting shots with that hand? I'm not gonna sit here and exhaustively research this. What I just posted was found pretty quickly, but it was also the only thing that looked like it had any information, so I don't know where else you could find out more. I'm interested about it though, if anybody knows anything.

Zimmerman is a good piece. Could easily have been a first round pick. i could see him getting solid backup minutes on a good contract for a few years for sure.

Honestly the guy looks pretty legit. Better highlights than some of the 1st rounders I seen.

I have no idea who he is though.

I really like Zimmerman. Hes only 19 and competed in the all american dunk contest (a must for magic drafts, thats why we had to trade Sabonis fyi)

Seems like a good pick to me. Exactly what I was hoping for in the 2nd round. He's a big young kid who is very raw but has the size and tools to perhaps be a good player one day. Considering how half the board wanted a raw big man who can block shots like Skal, I don't see why people would be disappointed in this pick.

And if you were to say he has potential, what would you say?

A larger longer faster more athletic Vuc with much better ball handling and passing?

Or would you mention his superior defense and shot blocking ability?

maybe...not a stiff....very fluid....not heavy footed like vuc....not a lot of 7 footers can move like invader zim...got a long way to go especially body wise but he's got a good base set of skills to build off of...that's what i would say

Invader Zim But yeah, he is a lot more fluid and quick then I thought as well. Give Vogel a few years with this kid and I think he can become a very solid big man who can be good on both ends of the floor.

Lol, so caught up in the Ibaka-Oladipo saga that he completely flew under the radar.
