So next move....

post, shot blocking taken care of. Whats the next move Hennigan makes?
go after Conley? would be great mentor to Elf
Lin? productive, should be not too expensive, scorer not a facilitator
Parsons? local guy, but will want big, long contract. Knee issues remain a huge concern
Barnes? will cost a lot
Mahinmi? word is, Indy hasnt made priority to keep him
Horford and move Vuc? keep Vuc? Run a PF/C of Ibaka/Horford? switching galore, both can hit 3 ptrs

The Magic need a go to scorer. Vuc and Fournier are good, but not the automatic guy ( see Hedo, Jameer, Shard) that'll be hitting clutch shots on a regular basis. There's only 2 in free agency. You should at least talk to them. If not, maybe we make another trade for a guy like Jimmy Butler.

Sign either Rondo or Conley to 5 year max. Trade for Jimmy Butler, try if Bulls will like Vuc + Payton + fillers.
Rondo or Conley / Jennings
Butler / Hezonza
Gordon / Fournier
Ibaka / Nicholson
Smith or Dedmon

We'll soon find out.....I will not be surprised if Vogel and Hennigan chase after Rondo next week.

West is not a SF. Brewer is horrible.
And not you but max out Rajon Rondo? Why TF would anyone do that?
My take. Go after Lin or Coneley. Try for Batum. Sign Mahinmi.

Why? We already have a pretty good passing pg who cant shoot. You think we should MAX out a slight upgrade?

Try for Conley , try for Batum
If we strike out I still like the team.
Add Mahinmi
Maybe Parsons if we can get a decent hometown deal.

Just grab Conley. Keep Vooch and Elf for now, until Boogie demands a trade....then do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Add some vet depth, go for some high tier free agents and if we strike out, just fill out the roster with Courtney Lee, Mahinmi, etc, type players. I'd rather let our tanking years not go to waste by stunting our young guys for no reason again.

Sign Conley... then watch Elfrid crush his soul in practice, keep his starting job, then lick all of your salty tears.

I'm all IN for Conley but fear he may chose the more competitive team. If Spurs are interested, you sign there. Conley is going to want to win now and I fear we may not offer that as well as some of the other suitors. Our most realistic target is Parsons bc of the home discount. He wants a max and it wouldn't be smart to accommodate that. That 3 spot belongs to AG/Mario or wait for PG13 in 2017.
Conley is my dream target. This is assuming Durant is out(99.999999% chance he is)

Rather than signing Conley, we help SAS clear room so they can do so.
SAS - Marble + Napier (at most. SAS might not want to take back any salary)
ORL - Green OR Diaw + Mills
Sign FAs accordingly
Vuc/Dedmon
Ibaka/Diaw/Nicholson
Gordon/Hezonja
Fournier/Green/Lee
Payton/Mills

You do realize all the baggage Rondo comes with right?
He is a good player no disputing that, but for a guy who has such a reputation for being such a great facilitator, he also has a tendency to over dribble, dominate the offense and only pass when it could produce an assist for him.
He is a dogmatic, egotistical megalomaniac and doesn't get along with anybody.
This is the same guy who was drafted by a contending team in Boston, had future hall of famers on the roster and he even quarreled with them as he struggled to accept a smaller role on a great team.
It's literally his way or the highway and at this point in his career, it's probably a bad thing to let him have his way.
This guy is one of the biggest head cases in the league today and you're taking a major risk by signing him.
