I thought the Magic declined the Qualifying offer months ago from what I heard. This to me was old news. I figured Andrew will sign with Toronto and be close to home being Toronto is in desperate need for a quality PF. Andrew will prove Henny way wrong!!!

I see no evidence of a decline on twitter. Perhaps it was assumed, but now it's more official.

Wherever Drew goes they will love him. Its unfortunate he never really got an opportunity, but I understand why. Im gonna miss that famous pump fake and the torture chamber!

Maybe it was reported but they waited til the deadline to confirm it. Who knows. I think I know what it was, on the first day where they could extend a qualifying offer, they didn't do it but didn't decline.

Alex Kennedy said recently that a free agent big man wants to go to san antonio or toronto... with his ties to Orlando players I am starting to think he was talking about drew.... both those teams could use him off the bench.

Andrew Nicholson with the Spurs would be a nice look. Hopefully he goes there. He better learn to pass more if he's going to the Spurs though.

Andrew Nicholson... now THAT was a potential DYNAMIC SCORER.
He was hitting threes at a team high clip and scoring down low like it was nothing. He was a really high potential player who just didn't see enough minutes or his usage... shame...

Nicholson only started showing potential this last season under Skiles. He was lazy, uninspired and uninterested unless the ball was in his hands. Get a reserve big man in here who plays with an edge to replace him. I'll never get over Jameer Nelson having a higher rebound average in Nicholsons first two seasons.

Damn shame. He's the definition of "professional" and we'll miss him. Also one of the rare breeds of players who could actually speak coherently...
If he goes to the Spurs... west coast best watch out!!!!

We are doing him a favor. He got a raw deal here. Never got consistent PT. I really enjoyed watching his offensive game.
