Love this for one year. Do what we gotta do to make the playoffs, then maintain flexibility for next summer.

This is a punt move. It is a significant overpay for Green, who is mostly useless on a basketball court. Hennigan was going to have to spend the money somewhere this summer, but I'm sure he wanted the opportunity to go heavy into free agency next summer. This move ticks both of those boxes.

Super low risk here.

I was hoping that we wouldn't commit crazy longterm money to guys who might not produce, so this is ideal.

Love it. Our bench is looking solid. We're really starting to get balanced like a playoff team.

Not just Mario, this signing takes away minutes from both Mario and Aaron at the SF position. Unless they brought him to toss the towels.

Its one year deal so don't overreact we need to reach salary floor somehow. Also can be used as big expiring in trade. And for some reason coaches love him wherever he plays and fans hate him . 3 and D player.

PERFECT! I don't like Jeff Green at all, but the one-year deal is exactly what we need: a veteran starter at the 3. Bring Aaron off the bench at the 4 for maximum impact.

Maybe initially, but he will work his way to the bench and a reduced role in no time. Jeff Green just isn't very good at basketball.
