Realistic Season

I don't own the knowledge or will to post stats like some of you guys...But what do you expect of this year?
I honestly think we will make at most the 3rd seed. At least the 8th. I do not undrerstand how we could have the talent of ibaka and biyombo with our team and not increase our share of wins by a large margin...
How many games did we lose last year within 5 points?
We just added the most ridiculous front court of IBAKA, BIYOMBO. I realize this might hurt our chances to score, but it couldn't possibly be less than getting rid of Scott Skiles and his despicable offensive scheme. He ran a scheme that colleges run and it didnt even match with our personnel. Frank Vogel is a great coach. You know the speal...Hibbert to national status, stevenson as well.
We have Gordon and Mario this year to develop further and contribute more with their shots.Frank Loyd should help them both. As well as Elf.
I know it sound ridiculous but I feel we should add 20 wins to our total.
Convince me why we don't.
I am super hopeful this season.

The only top ten defense that didn't make the playoffs was Utah. Utah was still a > .500 team. We are very well positioned.
Best part is on offense there is so much space for a player to step into. If someone has the skill they'll have ample opportunity to showcase it.

I think we will be a decent team. Not because of the off season transactions but because of out new coach. I think that if we had FV last season as head coach, we would have been a 5-6 seeded team. Scott Skiles SUCKED
I do think that people on this forum think that our "talent" is way over the top
AG
Mario
are not very good
Evan is decent
Vic has stepped 10 steps back and his defense sucks (plus he is a softy)
We might actually have a decent 1st round and down team next season

We traded Vic and Gordon + Hezonja are extremely talented young multidimensional basketball players

Compared to the rest of our division...
Atlanta lost horford
Miami lost Wade
Charlotte lost Jefferson
Washington.... gained Nicholson

So we'll be fighting immediately for our division, probably 6-8th seeds in playoffs.

5th to 10th as currently structured. 2nd to 3rd if we somehow get Westbrook.

I think the Magic get a 6-8 seed but with no Wade in Miami and the changes made in Atlanta, I don't think it's crazy that the Magic could possibly win the division and get a higher seed. I think a lot of things would have to go Orlando's way for this to happen, and Vogel would have to quickly get this team playing well and playing consistent. I think the Hawks still have the best chance at the division, but there are a lot of question about their team as well and I don't think they will be as good as they have been, so they are definitely not a lock to win it.

Atlanta - They lost Al, but Dwight fills their biggest hole. They will no longer get killed on the boards. They should still be a competitive team. Plus, Splitter is healthy so they have what may be the best front line in the division.
Miami - The Heat were actually better without Wade last year. Who knew that having a balldominant guard with a 45% efg was a bad thing?
Charlotte - Jefferson barely played last year. He won't be missed. Plus they get MKG back.
Washinton - Nicholson AND J. Smith. Here's to counting on Brad Beal again.

43-49 wins IMO. But I love how everybody is sleeping on us.
Predicted wins for next season.

Wow -- the over under on GSW is 75 wins -- that is insane. obviously, they are an amazing collection of talent but I'd take the under on that and bet the bank.

I honestly can't tell. Yes our interior D will be our calling card next season, I do see this as an improved, deeper roster, but to say we'll be division champion is a bit much. I think Charlotte still has that wrapped up. I think we maybe get a 6-8 playoff seed, but that's no given either. We have to score too, and Evan only scored 15ppg last season. For this to work he and Vuc have to flirt heavily with 20ppg a piece and Ibaka's got to have a career scoring year. Aaron Gordon probably needs to get 15ppg himself.

i am not one to unnecessarily pump up our players but you underestimate our players.
Evan - good to very good. Top-5 in 3pt shooting last year. compares right in line with Derozan, except DD cant shoot 3's
Aaron - not great, but average starter last year, definitely not "not very good"
Mario - rookie under a coach that isnt known to play rookies or play them thru mistakes. didnt show a lot, but didnt show bad
